I didn't see if the bootloader was unlockable.

At this point yeah, if I don't have an exit ramp for Google's increasingly shitty policies then I'm not interested.

So a BlackBerry?
Flax_vert@feddit.uk · 8 pts · 87d
It's an android phone with a keyboard
Onomatopoeia@lemmy.cafe · 3 pts · 87d
So, yes.
Blackberry had an Android phone very much like this - KeyOne and KeyTwo.
And I want this.
Flax_vert@feddit.uk · 2 pts · 87d
Depends how you look at it, in your case, yeah. It's not a dumbphone

I still miss my T-Mobile G1 and G2 with their slide out keyboards. ... And the replaceable screens and batteries.

Well, from time to time I get my Q10 from storage just to admire the build quality and the smoothness of the native OS operation without Android sideload apps. Even after years, you can still tell it's a premium phone by its appearance. The square OLED screen still shine and bright while the iPod touch from the same era already degraded on it's LCD. P.S. I miss that Blackberry Blend.

Similar, physical keyboards are having a bit of a resurgence at the moment. There is quite a bit to choose from. I think this one will probably have the best typing experience of all, though.

I just want my Clicks Power Keyboard. I pre-ordered, and I'm getting impatient. Very impatient. ðŸ˜

I mean Clicks has existed for years and has products in brick an mortar stores so I think they can definitely ship something

Looks cool! I hope they release a slider, someday. I miss my 00s era slider.

I would kill to have something like a Danger Hiptop with modern hardware running Android or something. I loved that phone.
