Hard to trust anything today, but word is that this is potentially linked to Taylor farms lettuce (in part linked to taco bell, likely among other yet to be named places as they are a huge supplier). They attempt to blame farms in Mexico, may be true, but their main facilities are in Salinas, CA.

BE AWARE that Taylor Farms has several sub-brands, including Earthbound Farm (Costco carries) and Eat Smart. Would not be surprised if they also white labeled for places like trader joes.
