Even if we're for some reason melting down metal parts every time (which we don't), metal is energy intensive to recycle, but it's recyclable infinitely. Plastic is easier to melt, but only a small percentage of it is recyclable at all, and even that is only once. So all the plastic either gets burnt, or thrown out and ends up somewhere where it shouldn't, like an ocean. Both cases are way worse.
Absolutely nothing wrong with a hobby, everyone should have a lot of those, and gardening is amazing hobby if you're into that sort of things.
When I ride my bicycle, I don't pretend that I am a messanger of the solarpunk future riding for my neighbors, I just do my hobby for fun and health. If your idea of a good time is to fuck with the greenery, more power to you. Unless you believe you're feeding a neighborhood with your driveway dirtpatch vegies, then I will start to get worried about your grip on reality.
You eat your five tomatoes that you've spend 10 months growing of course. Other people will eat food that they bought with strike funds they allocated prior to a strike. They could've told you about those but you were too busy growing tomatoes on your driveway.
Having a hobby is good, nobody is saying otherwise. Pretending that your hobby is actually a community service is not. You're not more or less of a people connector and community builder when you chat to your discord kittens from the basement than when you sit ass up picking weeds on your driveway cucumber patch.
This is larp. If everything goes great with this little pretend garden and you spend full working days of couple of people for the whole season, you'll get 15 moderate salads from it, tops. You're not feeding shit with it.
That's a hobby, not a praxis or whatever.
I went to one of those asleep countries some time ago, where the bottle caps didn't wake up yet. A cap that wasn't attached to the bottle was annoying to me, having to hold it in the hand while I drink was pretty inconvenient
That's not the line though. Some words are not used for a reason, everyone understands it. It's not some magical incomprehensible mystery, it's a basic human decency.
You're are allowed to do whatever the fuck you want. You're not allowed to bitch like a child if whatever you're doing will provoke the reaction that might be unpleasant to you. That's how community self-regulates. One idiot says "unalive", someone else tells them that they're a fucking idiot, they don't want to be called an idiot, they don't say "unalive" anymore, that's how it supposed to work.
Europeans will be using democracy to defend democracy against onslaught of anti-democratic forces suggesting that social and political problems should be fixed with military.
So far, despite significant amount of money poured by both American and Russian fascist movements, Europe is still not as bad as the media is trying to portray.
44% of a historically alt-right voting poor and not very populated land in Germany voted for yet another alt-right party, which represents less than 3% of the population of the country. Definetely a case for concern and a reason to never stop political activism, but far from the reason to panic and call the tanks.
My intentions are to promote human flourishing, and I try to follow my intentions. If I was talking about someone else, I would unequivocally qualify that as being a good person. So by transitive purposes I just have to qualify myself as one.
It doesn't really work like that. If you force people from childhood to do the chore, you increase the chance they resent it later in life so much, they stop doing it altogether the second they can.
The way you teach people to do something is positive reinforcement and positive associations. It's very basic thing that most people ignore because it's harder to do than yell at kids and force them with the threat of punishment. That's because people who got yelled and forced as kids grow up into useless adults.
There is only one guy who guessed correct religion after particularly vivid mushroom trip, but he's still in hell because he started doing correct things for the wrong motivation.

There is a possibility that the next president is donald trump again, and then again.
Not for the lack of trying.
That's worse. You do realise how it's worse, right?

Confederate statues still exist, so I doubt it. America is addicted to worshiping people who dedicate their lives to destroying it.

Nah, just weld over the door of this shit, and continue living your normal life. Nothing useful inside anyway.
Than grandpa can just do it instead of playing this barely disguised manipulative bullshit.
No you can't. In general. Being able to goes against Windows ideology.
It's just a smell that some people like, and others really, really don't. Nothing more to it.
