The EU has decided on new exceptions to the battery replacement obligation, which also benefit Meta's smart glasses. The US had previously exerted pressure.

Oh fuck. I'd suggest all smart glasses need to have a blinking led to notify everybody else that they have a camera on them

The pervs who buy them will just tape and paint the LED over. Instead the glasses should make a really annoying noise when the camera is in use. And make it vibration based so they can‘t tape over speakers.

Theres gonna be a lot of those glasses breaking in my vicinity if they become popular.

We need some sort of detector. Do they bluetooth to the phone with a consistent naming convention?
