A chimpanzee desperately trying to convince you that he is Abraham Lincoln. He does not know that Abraham Lincoln is long dead. You don't know what his endgame is.
Ops brother no longer needs to shower. He became part of the Himba tribe in Nambia, he uses red clay to protect his skin. His people don't shower in the traditional sense. When he needs to shower he takes what's called a smoke bath. He mixes herbs with charcoal and burns this next to him until the smoke makes him perspire. He then wipes his skin with a towel and applies red ochre and butter paste.
Yo, that's dope. How did you come across this knowledge? (Actual question. I am hoping that you are educated in the area and can recommend some books ... because I am old and enjoy books.)
There used to be this Dutch reality show where families would swap places and during one season some Himba people moved to a provincial town in the Netherlands while a typical Dutch family went to live with their tribe in Nambia. The Himba are polygamous and I just remember the dad getting upset by the Himba men's advances on his wife.
That show was wild, another time they sent this fat black guy from Amsterdam to live with a tribe because he said he wanted to reconnect with his African roots and all the tribesmen were scared of him and kept calling him the people eater because they believed one could only get that fat by eating others.
Anyway, there's a really cool picture book called Where Fire Speaks about the Himba, I don't remember the name of the tv show though. It's from the early 2000's and I think it aired on sbs6. You might be able to find it on youtube.
