It's fun to watch my kid attempt a cartwheel, he turns about 1 radian and then folds onto the floor. He'll get it right one of these days, but I think I like this part better
True that I see less people doing this, but there are some that keep it alive, my sister still randomly cartwheels everywhere she goes, she even learnt how to do it while holding her beer, and without spilling it !
I recently used this as an example of how mass surveillance escalates suspicion. If you drive home from work the same way for months and then change your route, that can be grounds for suspicion and investigation. Nevermind, you just charted a better path home.
And as law enforcement works in the US, post PATRIOT act, if you can be investigated under general suspicion, rather than for a specific crime. And you will be charged for any crimes discovered. And if you are in sight of the police (e.g. in an ALPR database) then every possible set of behaviors and conditions are suspicious.
I think OP was saying that as they grow up girls stop doing cartwheels. Because grown girls don't do cartwheels. I think you should see it as a "we live in a society" meme
that reminds me. when I was a kid I tried to do a cartwheel repeatedly until I fell in a really painful way and then after that I'd just watch others do cartwheels enviously
I had a co-worker in her early 30s, who was a former gymnast, and also coached gymnastics. She'd not only occasionally knock out a few cartwheels in the hallway, but she could also still do aerials.
I still cartwheel. One trick pony in that way, I can only do the cartwheel. When kids are doing them I will casually throw one and it always amuses them. I'm near 60.
They don't take much strength, it's inertia that carries you over. Hand, hand, foot, foot.
So swapping the gender of the joke makes it okay? If I left the gender out entirely? Is it the mention of nudity? Why is mentioning naked women toxic vibes? I mean, you did come into a shitpost community where the humor probably isn't always to your liking. And then had the audacity to tell me to shut up lol.

My wife does spins whenever she's wearing a dress that will float out. I probably would too if I fit in such a dress.

I feel like dresses are probably the most forgiving piece of clothing fit-wise.

Honestly, I find hospital scrubs very forgiving. Medical staff looking fine in those greens and blues

I had a pair that lasted through my teens and 20s. That's like, compared to fast fashion, scrubs are the John Wick of clothes.

In my country a woman suspected of murder did a cartwheel while waiting to be interrogated and the police basically took that as an admission of guilt
okwhateverdude@lemmy.world · 24 pts · 2d
Pretty sure cops regardless of country will take any out of the norm behavior as an admission of guilt. They just be like that

Boys (and girls) lose their jumping out of trees magic too. Getting older sucks.
Keep that magic as long as you can. The more magic you use, the longer you get to keep it.

Read this, quite literally did a cartwheel in an act of whimsy and solidarity against the encroaching darkness before responding.
(It was actually kind of fun and my back only hurts a tiny bit. One handed cartwheels used to be the preferred move, but fuck no).
