I have no idea if this is the right modality with which to get through to you, but it worked for me: look up schema therapy. My tests flagged with the defectiveness/shame schema, which is exactly what this post is describing - the belief that you are fundamentally broken and unfixable, and you should feel ashamed of that. If that resonates, just do an internet search. You are not alone in this, and it can get better. I won't say that it will get better, because that part is up to you. But it can.
One cool thing about cognitive behavioral therapy is that you can dip your toe in by just doing the worksheets on your own to see if a therapist might be helpful.
you can get better. i thought the same thing a few years ago when i finally started going to therapy. in the beginning it didnt feel like i was doing anything, like it wasnt working. i was so deep in masking, my maladaptive coping strategies, my numbness and fear. but slowly i started challenging myself to change, to address the ways i hurt myself to protect myself. ive learned a lot and changed a lot, and i sometimes even feel some hope that i can be a real person, and sometimes i even feel like i am. theres still so much to do but im getting better all the time.
its hard, and it hurts, and its so fucking scary to try to heal the parts of you deep inside that other people beat into submission, but you can do it. just one little step at a time.
But yeah, missing a few essential human pieces is actually kinda no big deal, 'cuz all you need to make up for it is a few people who can accept you as you are.
I gave up on being people years ago, but since I found my persons, they've helped me blossom in ways I'd never imagined could be real. =O
Sounds like a license revocation waiting to happen.
And as the other comment said, you may want to find someone else who, you know, actually cares. As you deserve to have someone who does, nobody should be without the proper channels they need.
Depends on what being human means to you: Human in the biological sense? Unless this was written by AI you're human. Human in the sense that you deserve human rights and dignity? Definitely human. Human in the sense that you are part of a society? Yup. Human in the sense of gender etc.? Not necessarily, unless you want to be, then yes! Human in the sense that you deserve love and care and can give love and care to others? Correct, human! And guess what, not feeling human is something many humans feel, sometimes or even all the time, so I'd say that's a human trait, too.
Take care, from a fellow non-human human
Of course you are missing parts. But you will never find the missing piece in your apartment. It’s somewhere out in the wilderness hiding behind a tree. You gave it up to get food and shelter and clean water. But now it’s all gone wrong.
