I believe in the Metro (Metro /series you at some point fight/kill some Nazis. They aren't the main enemy but there is a faction of them for you to kill.
It's not exactly old (it came out this year) but you could give the new remake of Fatal Frame 2 a try. You could play the originals but they are very similar controls to the old Resident Evil games.
It has combat where you go into first person and have to photograph "shoot" the ghost/wraiths.
Have you seen Underspace? Its almost a spiritual successor to Freelancer. Take Freelancer and add Eldritch horrors and you have Underspace. IIt's still in Early Access but definitely scratches the itch.
Tron 2.0 - A FPS game set inside computers from the early 2000s. There were a lot of great weapons in the game but I always went back with the Disc throwing weapon.
Homeworld 1/2/Cataclysm- An 3D space RTS series 1999/2000s. During the campaign all units made carry through to the next mission.
Atomic Shrimp - He's an older British guy that does a variety of videos. Everything from tech related projects, scambating, gardening, hikes, and foraging.
My favorite videos of his are his 'Weird Stuff in a Can' videos.
Second Sight on PS2 came to mind after reading this. I don't think I have ever seen anyone talk about it.
Faith: The Unholy Trinity
It's an 8-bit horror game. Not sure if this is what you are looking for. I definitely recommend it if you are not put off by 8-bit graphics.
As in I wake up as the character or wake up in the same place as them as the character?
Last game I played was Green Hell, so if I wake up in the Amazon, I think I'll be dead pretty quickly.
If I just wake up as Jake, I should be okay if I didn't go to sleep with worms, parasites, leeches, poisoned or a bite by a venomous creature.
Sidenote: Is venomed a real word?

My rarest achievement is from The Long Dark (Finely Tuned) at 0.1%. But that's because not many people played the last episode when it came out.
My most memorable is from Titanfall 2 (...Becomes the Master) Place in the top 3 of the Gauntlet scoreboard. That one is at 2.9%
That looks familiar to a game I played back in mid 2000's. The UI looks similar but I think it was white not red. Dark War, or Dark something: War.

We were always told < is less than. The symbol looks like an L for Less. If the L is facing the wrong way > it's greater than.

Put those into the console command and the lightsaber is so much more fun!
