Trump initially indicated that he wanted to build a ballroom, but that none of the East Wing would've been touched. As with any significant government building, there's a good amount of history and significance to the East wing. It's also where guests would enter and hosted the First Lady's office/staff.

Trump then proceeded to ignore the standard rules/requirements for making changes to the building, which he doesn't have unilateral authority to do. He leveled the East Wing, and spent hundreds of millions of dollars on the project during a government shutdown, money which was essentially pilfered from other allocations IIRC.

Despite various attempts to check his illegal construction efforts, he has continued unabated. Some of the funding has also come from "private donors" which has pretty transparently been influence bribery from important figures and CEOs and stuff.

There's been a lot to it over time, but that's some of the broad strokes.

It's a way of helping people easily identify and verify whether or not they've taken the pill for the day. "Did I remember to take my medication this morning? Oh right, today is Tuesday. Must not have."

California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, and Washington (both the state of and DC) have all-by-mail voting. I imagine some of the particulars vary slightly, but in general you get a ballot a few weeks prior along with some associated info, and then either mail it back and/or drop it off somewhere. Presumably there are in-person locations available for edge cases, but the overwhelming majority of voters in those areas do so by mail.

Join servers on your behalf would be required to do something like "Join the World of Warcraft community server" or "join your guild's Discord server" buttons. Theoretically permanent links could work here, but Discord has made permanent linking harder to do for legitimate reasons, and it wouldn't work for smaller servers.

Email and third-party connections seem questionable. Why should Blizzard need to know my Discord account's email?

IIRC this means that the Battle.net app would be able to see the details of a connected Twitch account, for example. I think I've seen this used in certain situations for things like account management apps or in a few servers that want to verify the identity of people, e.g. creator communities.

For some added context based on some cursory reading, it appears that they've not returned to port since December, and are running low on supplies to include things like soap, toothpaste, deodorant, and food. A bunch of equipment isn't working as well, including toilets. Limited/no hot water for showers, laundry is non-functional for long periods, and food is reportedly half a cup of rice and a few tortillas in some cases. Keep in mind, those deployed on an aircraft carrier are working something like 12 hours on, 12 hours off indefinitely.

Pretty fucked up, all told.

Informationally, "jipped" is often spelled "gypped", as it is associated with the term "gypsy". It shares a discriminatory association with that slur for the Romani people.

A quick Google shows that there's no real evidence of involvement. It seems like Epstein might've been trying to arrange for her to be present at a dinner with Gates, like as in him wanting Gates to get her there? Uncertain. I wasn't particularly rigorous though. I'm not claiming to have strong context.
