I can't understand the logic here

The real kicker is escitalopram is used to treat obsessive compulsive disorders.

betterdeadthanreddit@lemmy.world · 60 pts · 1d

It's a tool to assess how well the medication is working. If the patient complains, bump up the dose.

baggachipz@sh.itjust.works · 21 pts · 1d (3 replies)

It’s just Lexapro

Edit: whoever downvoted me, look at my damn prescription:

MutantTailThing@lemmy.world · 19 pts · 1d (2 replies)

And lexapro is just a brand name for escitalopram

baggachipz@sh.itjust.works · 10 pts · 1d (1 reply)

Right. It’s a normal antidepressant. I guess they can use it for OCD but I don’t think that’s its primary use case.

village604@adultswim.fan · 4 pts · 1d

Right, but people with OCD often struggle with stuff like the date order in the picture. That's why it's relevant.

StillAlive@piefed.world · 42 pts · 1d (17 replies)

rustydrd@sh.itjust.works · 57 pts · 1d

I think I cracked the code...

whyNotSquirrel@sh.itjust.works · 22 pts · 1d (11 replies)

what if my week start on Monday?

Also there's one day missing because you don't count the first Monday or something, I don't remember

almost1337@lemmy.zip · 5 pts · 1d (2 replies)

Look, the important thing is that if you're working out every other day, you aren't overdoing it by going 4-5 days a week.

Cavemanfreak@programming.dev · 5 pts · 1d (1 reply)

That makes no sense. There are only 7 days in a week. If you go every other day that's 3.5 times a week.

Master@sh.itjust.works · 4 pts · 1d

You round up and add one. So every other day means 5 out of 7 days... obviously.

osaerisxero@kbin.melroy.org · -1 pts · 1d (7 replies)

Then you are incorrect, indexes start at 0

CptBread@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 1d

Sure, Monday is at index 0 and Sunday is at 6

dan@upvote.au · 14 pts · 1d

Week starts on Monday in ISO8601, and developers like ISO8601 so this is also the case in most programming languages by default. In some programming languages, it varies by locale.

edit: also, Sunday is part of the weekend, not the weekstart.

whyNotSquirrel@sh.itjust.works · 8 pts · 1d (2 replies)

but why would Sunday be 0 and why would we include Sundays in the week-ENDs?

atopi@piefed.blahaj.zone · 3 pts · 1d

Petition to rename weekends to week extremes for people whose week starts on sunday

ViatorOmnium@piefed.social · 2 pts · 1d

Weekend as in both ends. End can already mean extreme points of something.

luokaton@lemmy.zip · 4 pts · 1d

I prefer my Sundays to be on a weekEND

huppakee@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1d

Sucks for you, moon is closer to 0 than the sun is.

ShouldIHaveFun@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 1d (1 reply)

It was probably meant to be a circle and then they had to move the Thu because of the text

village604@adultswim.fan · 2 pts · 1d

But moving the text is easier than moving the blister.

testaccount789@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 1d

Somehow I thought of the same thing (if no crossing lines/double crossing points was the point), except I started on Monday.

AyuTsukasa@lemmy.zip · 1 pts · 1d

I still don't like it! 😅

hperrin@lemmy.ca · 36 pts · 2d

No, I can see why they did it that way. It’s because they hate you.

Obituarykidney@lemmy.world · 34 pts · 2d (1 reply)

Maybe it's to force you to read it so you're paying attention

rmrf@lemmy.ml · 3 pts · 1d

This is what I'm thinking, it actually takes your attention and, if you forgot a day, likely prevents you from accidentally taking 2 throughout the next

Epzillon@lemmy.world · 20 pts · 2d (2 replies)

I mean, it just goes in a circle but thursday is centered because the text had to be visible, really feels like the last effort job tho

SpraynardKruger@lemmy.zip · 4 pts · 1d (1 reply)

But the text could go in the center easily, without moving the pill there.

Johanno@feddit.org · 2 pts · 23h

This would be asymmetrical. Which doesn't seem like a big issue, but if you have a big truck full of those it might tip over the side.

The smudgy camera infuriates me more, though

SpraynardKruger@lemmy.zip · 6 pts · 1d

My roommate got a top-of-the-line iPhone a while back. The choice to go with the most expensive iPhone was specifically so he could also use it as a camera.

Pretty much every time I see him send or post a picture, it has the smudgy sheen, and pretty much every time, I tell him to clean his damn camera lenses. I think the camera roll in my Galaxy S21+ has, on average, better looking and more detailed photos than the ones on his phone. Not because the camera is better, but because I usually wipe the camera lenses before taking a picture.

ramble81@lemmy.zip · 10 pts · 1d

Is it possible the doses for the top 4 days are the same and then the other three are different and it’s easier for the machine to fill them that way so it’s just labeling?

whaleross@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 1d

Start on Thursdays for an outward spiral or Friday for an inward

ViatorOmnium@piefed.social · 8 pts · 2d (3 replies)

7 is not divisible by 2, and the package designer wouldn't settle for anything non symmetrical, so they took the playing card layout.

Alcoholicorn@mander.xyz · 2 pts · 1d

Sunday
Saturday Monday
Friday Tuesday
Thursday Wednesday

Viceversa@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 1d (1 reply)

You can use the same pattern but intuitive order though:

Monday Tuesday
Wednesday Thursday
Friday
Saturday Sunday

ViatorOmnium@piefed.social · 4 pts · 1d

I personally would put the one in the middle on top or bottom, like

 *
* *
* *
* *
JelleWho@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 2d

Maybe there week started on a Sunday instead of a Monday. It makes it a BIT more logical

NickwithaC@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 1d

The longer I look at it the worse it gets!

frunch@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1d

The packaging printer was probably running their annual "print it out of order intentionally sale" where customers can receive up to 15% off new packaging-print packages, given the text is randomly switched around at the printers discretion.

atomicbocks@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 1d (8 replies)

If they are all the same then does it even matter what day of the week each pill is taken?

some_kind_of_guy@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 1d (6 replies)

Yes.. for some it is difficult to remember whether medication for the day has already been taken.

dan@upvote.au · 4 pts · 1d (3 replies)

All my medicines are in pill bottles, so the way I solved this is by flipping the bottle upside down after I take it, then flipping it back around when I get up in the morning. If I see it the right way up then I know I haven't taken it yet for the day.

Viceversa@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1d (2 replies)

But what if you take it and forget to flip the bottle?

almost1337@lemmy.zip · 6 pts · 1d

Or forget to put the bottle right side up in the morning?

dan@upvote.au · 1 pts · 1d

That would be an issue, but I'm a person of habit and it's part of my routine now, so I don't forget.

huppakee@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1d

Here is one.

charokol@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 1d

I take only one pill a day, but still use a pill organizer for this reason

Ava@piefed.blahaj.zone · 7 pts · 1d

It's a way of helping people easily identify and verify whether or not they've taken the pill for the day. "Did I remember to take my medication this morning? Oh right, today is Tuesday. Must not have."

Lifecoach5000@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2d

Thu is somethin special.

uhmbah@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 1d

Uhm, it's clockwise. Duh.
