A “normal accident” is an emergent disaster, arising from a complex and highly technical system whose components are tightly coupled, meaning that the state of one component significantly affects others. Perrow wrote that in simple mechanical systems, a high degree of reliability can be achieved through the use of independent and redundant components, but as system complexity increases, especially when human organizations are involved, true redundancy among the components ceases to exist, and failures or errors may trigger a “cascade” that propagates through the system until disaster occurs. Cascades are, by their very nature, difficult or impossible to fully predict until they occur.

Initial planning of Nordstream 1 started in 1995, building started 2010 and was finalized 2012.
Nordstream 2 on the other hand was planned 2013, although building started 2018 so well into the war, but was stopped by US sanctions in 2019.
Nordstream 1 was a project to connect the Russian federation closer to Europe, at that time a reasonable project (although still fucking greedy) Nordstream 2 is a different story propelled by greed and disregard for Russian crimes.
Just trying to point out the nuances in German/Russian relations during the last 30.years.
I have two furry air defense missiles, ever time something flying enters my apartment I just wish it good luck. Bugs, flies, mosquitos, they all die and get munched within minutes. I just have to keep an eye out for wasps and bees because I don't want to take that trip to the vet.
It's a purring iron dome.
It's a little weird it's all of them not just one or two, so maybe someone has a better idea, but the symptoms sound like it's a gas cylinder problem. Afaik they sometimes get a little dust and dirt in the seals and don't seal off proper any more. But since it's all of them the gas cylinders might just be cheap or not suited for the task.
I don't know if you can repair the cylinders themselves, I'd be a littlea lotta careful, since those are built to handle some weight they can be under a fair amount of pressure. So disassembling one of the cylinders mightwill be dangerous, if you don't know what you're doing
There are several different sizes of those cylinders, so you'd need to measure one of them before ordering. I'd just look up what measurements are listed for those cylinders online and then disassemble one stool and take the same measurements. Other than that they should be replaceable fairly easy.
That's the knowledge I accuired online when my beloved office chair started to develop the same issue, but since it still functions most of the time I never got around to actually disassemble it, so take everything I said with a grain of salt and maybe get a second opinion. Good luck!
edit: after looking at the other comment I emphasized the dangers those cylinders can inherit, I still think that replacing them will be fairly easy since the replacement parts are offered online alongside instructions how to
You don't need accuracy, you need relevance. 25,000 dead people is as relevant as 25,000 dead children.
In the context of the rest of your comments this sentence is mind blowing to me.
You argue about relevance and that the number really doesn't matter all that much and can't see why people criticize your argument about transgender people dying being not as relevant as non-transgender people dying?
I'm a regular in a little Portuguese café, I always order a Galão and a tomato mozzarella Ciabatta. They display the Ciabatta in a basket out front and sometimes they're empty when I come and I order a toast instead. Well this time the basket was empty I was about to order a toast but the cashier smiled at me and said 'I saved a Ciabatta for you in the kitchen.' That was really heartwarming :)
Iirc for the DB a train is considered on time when it's not later than 7 min on arrival. Which is a joke if you miss your following connection.
Last week my girlfriend and I bravely ate a whole cake in the shed to protect the kid from the sugar.
"Hitler - bad. Moving on."
It's all BUT California in the picture.
Sometimes I forget there are places where health insurance isn't universal and was a little confused reading your comment.
Modern medicine makes anything possible, so much that STDs became an issue in old folks homes. Granny still likes to get freaky.

The grandma of a friend used to say 'Wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which one is filled afterwards'

Habe ich auch erst heute gelesen, als ich meinen ersten Kommentar geschrieben hatte, hatte ich das noch nicht gesehen. Danke fürs ergänzen.
