sudo dnf install plasma-bigscreen

to me, the wildest part about this is that, where i live, linoleum and vinyl are entirely different things. linoleum being „all natural“ eg sawdust, linseed oil and a hemp mesh backing, whereas vinyl is „just“ plastic, to the point that you can distinguish high and low income by whether linoleum or vinyl is used.

they certainly filled separate niches. i mean, imagine having to carry a vinyl-disk-man…

That’s a wild username for OF. are you making rick astley content?

The german one started out as a poem then song that was meant to unite states through their artists and academics. While the nazi abused it and skewed the meaning to be aggressive (germany above all other countries), it was initially about unity (Germany above whatever the princes of the individual states of the German Confederation want).

my mates and i are also hosting pocketID. it’s solid stuff

me and my homies are using fedora KDE, which we can greatly recommend. we use it not just for personal gaming, creative tools, and software development but also (especially) on our work machines.

im not 100% caught up with the nintendo situation, but this sounds very similar to:

  • have a switch 2
  • games cost 80 dollars
  • you had 4 games yesterday and bought another one used
  • nintendo accuses you of piracy and bricks your device
  • you have 0 games and no console today

i guess the smartness is not about whether you expose yourself to big tech, but rather whether your mum can judge you. because when your mum judges you, you feel bad, but when big tech exploits you, it’s just another tuesday.
