I get it. I have my brother and mother on it, and sandboxed play is enough to make it mostly transparent to them, but I guess if they rely on the Google components of the Pixel ROM a lot, switching might be difficult for them.
The gist of it is that platforms owned by for profit entities are inherently hostile, and that any competitor to YouTube, in the extremely unlikely case they find success, is bound to develop the same problems, since they are systemic.
Our only chance for a non-hostile video platform is peer tube with federated hosting.
Always enjoyed the PS3 for its stupid system architecture. Just recently gave mine away to a friend. I assume it should be pretty doable, getting a used copy. I tend to see ps3 discs floating around on ebay for under 10€.
Look at David Cage Games. Very different genre, and not always good or fun (Cage is a bit too full of himself), but e.g. Beyond: Two Souls had Elliot Page and Willem Dafoe years before Cyberpunk 2077.
Which is based on one of the early short stories from William Gibson. Who Mike Pondsmith took a lot of inspiration from when writing the first Cyberpunk rulebook.
Affine is a bit weird, and not quite FOSS (source available and you can self-host it following their terms). But it fits a gap no one else quite fills, and I've been hosting it for a few people for a while.
Huh. While I can't say I understand all your positions, that explains your placement in the graphic. Also, im happy your exploring your own beliefs and finding they changed, I guess.
But wouldn't a semi-permeable membrane be way to restrictive? I mean, we use them for water filters cause they don't really let things other than than water molecules through.
I don't know for sure. They announced it one day, but I haven't really caught that much public discussion before that.
It might also be more accurate to say they switched the default selection, since you are able to select the MAC solution in the installer of the desktop versions, it's just that SEL is now the default selection instead off AppArmor.
Safely is a spectrum. I'd argue that as long as you aren't under active ddos, cloudflare's stuff isn't all that useful. For DNS, I'd take a look at https://desec.io/.

I feel like this is very much still relevant here: https://youtu.be/r3snVCRo_bI

You have a Pixel. Put Graphene on it. No more sideloading restrictions, and you get the update.
https://grapheneos.org/install/web (needs Browser that supports WebUSB, meaning Chromium based. CLI Installer is also available.)

As someone who had to work in sales/marketing for a bit - sure it works for that. Soulless tool for a soulless task.
I'd support them getting their shit together so they're a viable candidate again.
Have any of the values you described in your post 2 months ago changed?
For me it's usually webrings or reccomended sections on small websites, or just blogs citing other blogs.

I use it to enter a tpm pin after reboot. Security™.

This was the mail they announced the change in: https://lists.opensuse.org/archives/list/factory@lists.opensuse.org/message/YN4TCBCU4A2V5G2MWR5EWYF46267BO7F/
... you do know that mobile data uses radio frequencies?

SUSE is now on SELinux too.
