My only complaint is the lack of ultra wide support. Steam guides recommended a third party app called Fullscreenizer which fixes it, but it makes my PC run incredibly hot. Dropping to lowest settings at 60 fps pushes my temps to the max in certain areas.

With all that said I think the breeding is what will make runs broken. Good items will be an unnecessary cherry on top when your cats are overpowered from the start.
I think it's less of a monopoly and more of the fact that they won the market share game. I could buy all my games somewhere else but I don't know why I would do something so stupid.
Yeah, invisible joker copies one of your held jokers if you sell it after two rounds. When it's negative you can go over the joker limit. I ended up with 7/6 jokers. It makes it so you can no longer pick up new negative jokers (unless you use an ectoplasm)
For a really long time I never thought I'd do more than one gold stake. That first one was the only completionist feeling one to me.
I later discovered Dr. Specter's Balatro University and also watched a lot of Major League Balatro. I learned a ton and thought that maybe I'd give harder stakes another try. There's a lot of dopamine to be had in applying theoretical knowledge to overcome something you previously thought was nearly impossible.
Black stake is a whole other beast though. Dr. Specter himself says if you really want to beat it you should be prepared to reset over and over for hours on end.
I've consulted with an attorney and they were very confident I would win. The problem is that I would essentially be spending a lot of money for a piece of paper. She already owes me tens of thousands of dollars in attorneys fees that I will likely never see. Any additional judgement would just go on the pile. You can't get blood from a rock.
I feel it would be better to spend that money giving my kid have a better life.

If you're going to go split you should really go ortholinear. Check out zsa moonlander or zsa voyager as good intro options.

And no doubt an optimized version of the game will exist but only at the enterprise level for streaming providers.

Black deck is my last gold stake and I feel exactly the same way.
One European vendor I've had good experiences with is Falba Tech.
