Supernatural I would've liked to end when it was originally planned with the 5th season. But I've heard it gets better with the 7th or 8th season. I just couldn't get through the 6th 😅

Yess I did the genesite test, too. Weirdly found out I also don't process synthetic folate from it!

Pills aren't there to convince us everything is ok. They're more often useful in getting us to a baseline where we can better manage and take control of our lives where we can. If a psychiatrist/therapist is saying something like in this meme, get a new one. There are more resources out there than just pills and therapy

I say this as someone taking pills, going to therapy, and receiving a ton of other support through government programs in a red state in the US. I'd been struggling with suicidal ideation for decades, and in the last year I've made some good progress. There's shitty aspects to life, and I've got a ways to go to meet the goals I've set for therapy, but it's still worth living for me

My therapist mentioned its 80% awareness, 20% adding effective skills. But it can take a long ass time to rewire the engrained habits with new neuropathways habitually remembering and applying effective skills

Theres been studies on how they can help with addiction, iirc. But don't take that as a reason to try, especially without access to the supervision I think these studies included. Lots of interesting and promising research still to do on them imo tho

Technically that's not good for the goldfish 🥴 they grow to the size of smaller tanks then it stresses their bodies to not be able to keep going to their natural size. I'd have to look it up what the recommended tank size is but hope folks look it up before getting one!

Too often people don't read past the headline or even have their algorithm trained to consistently give dis/misinformation. I don't see criticism of a tool, but rather how has developed and is used. This applies in so many areas that I think the more effective approach is teaching people how to think more critically and criticizing the companies for not doing their due diligence in promoting that. Otherwise it comes across like being upset people use social media, in which case I think we are far too beyond the Pandoras box being opened to spend time focusing on that aspect. If you have solutions other than telling people not to use it, I'm all ears.
