As far as I know, Lacedemonian society was homophobic and paranoid. This the holy phalanx of Thebes. The one who beat them so hard, that it has ended their reputation of unbeatable warrior.

I work in a self-organized tech coop that we made by ourselves, and I do agree with your. This is a lot of concern to deal with unstable future, and it's prevent ourselves to be active with others; some people left for stability, and reduce stress.

We are unionize too; and we think about modifying our rules to give the final word to union.

That the point : we are choosing

Actually, applying a dogma is not being a good jew/christian/muslim. Theologists justify almost everything in "God let us choose between Good and Evil". Ironically, their is many learning in the thora/bible/quran that underline the need to not being dogmatic

No, his behavior shall be average, not an exception. However we have to fight the repression that target him, like every other one that stand against repression

Your guys have fixed interest rate for housing ? Here their is only composed one. We used tu pay 50k of interest for a 20 year loan

Actually, this propaganda from the french wine industry. In France, this lobby have disrupted several campaign of prevention, and spread this fake

pacifism <> anti-militarist <> non-violence

However depending on how you define those, you may recognize in each one. If we rely on a legal definition, militarism and war are only link to states. Armed force without state are not an army, and armed conflicts no declared by states are not war. Dumb lex, sed lex

For exemple, in this definition revolution is not a war, so pacifist could took part in armed force independent from states. That explain why their is a pacifist tradition in communism ... except when those revolution succeed ... well you should leave that armed force that became an army and refuse conscription.

This debate occurred recently through the essay "How Nonviolence Protects the State", which address the non-violence and/or pacifism as exploiters : if you don't want to use violence, other will have to The essay do not get rid of the ideal of non-violence, only what individual position do to people that could not choose.

Now their is an Elephant in the room : police. A violent armed force, acting for a state but without a declaration of war. So from our first definition, we could be a pacifist and let the cops do the exact same thing that an army.

I'm referring to the idea that "Supporting the opposition of the main imperialist, in order to weaken the all system", a position often simplified as "campist". I'm not saying it was shaky, however as all the other political theories, the working class shall observe how it worked.

Their is a lot of academic and communist (mostly maoist and titoist, but not only) research to disprove this (see below), but what the point ? You may answer that this imperialist and bourgeois propaganda (which is partly true), and I will your sources are just others bourgeoisie propaganda.

So I would suggest to rely on self-organized working classes. Are they supported or not by the organization, states or union we talking about ? U.S, Nato, Russian federation, Europe, Ukraine, Israel, People's Republic of China, all this state crush unions or collective that ask too much or are too independent. And what we see is that supporting those state or organization weaken the expression of a self-aware proletariat and enforce the tools of its repression. Even States at war have no issue to copy each other to do so. It seems that spreading armed and state conflicts just make the Military–industrial complex to grow, and strike population everywhere (but not with the same violence). The Military–industrial complex is not unique to the US; it's something important in some European countries, others NATO State (i.e Turquey), or the USSR (at least in its last decade).

If you disagree, please, provide your sources

We don't have to be dogmatic to be radical you know. Their is other way to oppose to capitalism and imperialism than to blindly believe in 50 years old theory that have be disproved since

Is more an injonction than a meme ; it implies that we should "go to gym" to oppose to fascists. So it suppose that strong and athletics body are more valid for antifascism than the others. Gym, exercise and workout are more linked with work than with games : we try to improve our performances, making stats, having regularity and so on. According to Johan Huizinga in "Homo Ludens", sports is the opposite of game, and is how the modern era twist games to match desires of productive bodies.

I'm not saying that sports, gym, workout, box, running are bad; if people enjoy it, it's enough. However I think the the injonction is counter-productive. For every situation we may wish to have a shaped body they is a collective answer that more people participate : so it's more inclusive and create more social link

This is an individualist approach, a productivist one and a validist one. I see you point : people shall prepare But the next question is : to do what ?

If you want to prepare to run: run if you want to prepare to climb : climb if you want to prepare to fight : fight

This not an RPG, muscles could act counter-productively (it's weight more, and need more calories).

But most importantly, prepare to do it collectively. Some of us have the health and condition to prepare to do some of this, and may need to be recall that they have a responsibility to do so, because some of us don't. Futhermore in most situations it's better to be 3 people not well prepared than one fit. So take care of you community and make it grow
