Ye… Russian and Chinese infiltration are exactly the reason why leftists and centrist blocs in the EU introduced things like the GDPR snd Cybersecurity laws.
And why right wing extremists are constantly subverting efforts for more control and regulation.
Bears and wolves are natural enemies. They are vicious and dangerous predators who both share a common space and will therefore compete for game. Wolves are also one of the few animals that hunt and kill bear cubs. And for this reason bears are known to deliberately seek out dens in order to kill the cubs.
Which makes it all the more unlikely that these are an actual wild wolf and and an actual wild bear, interacting without human interference
Leaders around the world are treating the US military defeat against Iran as a given and are planning for a future that does not include the US in any decisive role.
The current response of the nations in the Middle East is telling: plans are being drawn up and security cooperations being forged, while pretty much ignoring the US altogether.
Its likely a precursor for what we’ll see happen with nations surrounding the Sea of Japan and South China Sea in the upcoming months.
The largest, most powerful nation on earth has literally botched this war. Militarily, politically and economically. And as a result we’re now witnessing the US led global world order unravel completely. I think we’ve entered a very scary time.
Its pretty straightforward: after the 2022 invasion of Ukraine by Russia -especially after the bombing of Nord Stream 2- most Western European countries thought they could offset Russian oil with imports of LNG from Qatar and the US.
Qatar has now been taken off the market for years to come, US trade has become a tool for economic coercion or even subversion (as was the case with Russia).
Easy access to uranium deposits in Africa have also been undermined by both Russia and Islamic extremists, so nuclear power is also off the table.
Renewable energy has become the only option for energy security, though this in turn makes us dependent on Chinese imports and international shipping.
Any way you cut it, there are no easy options for Europe. The EU will have to learn geopolitics if it has any chance to survive. Moderate politicians will have to learn to think and act as Europeans and to instill a sense of European pride and European identity in their constituents.
Likewise, if they keep prioritizing short-term national interests over long-term European ones, then they’ll lose eventually out to right-wing extremists, who will then actively try and sabotage the European project altogether.
Except it won’t really be the end of it and therein lies the risk. Trump maybe thinking that since the US has a base on the island and the Greenlanders have no army of their own, that the island is technically already his. It’s exactly the kind of incompetence and stupidity that got him entrenched in a forever war with Iran.
And just like Iran made a mistake by not posing a credible threat, Europe is far to lenient when it comes to threats like these. If Europe doesn’t respond with threats of their own, Dementia Donnie might actually start a second European war in Greenland.
I say second, because there is no way Trump is going to end the Iran-war before the midterm elections, even though he seems to think so.
Lucas has been tampering with the film since the first home release. And he famously refused to hand over the original print for preservation in the National Film Registry. And he refuses to restore and re-release the original cut of the film.
But…there is an awesome fan project called 4K77 that digitalized and restored the original 38mm film for Star Wars. Meaning you can now download a crisp 4K version of the original theatrical version of Star Wars.
The special edition has pretty much been the standard for home video ever since they released the Alien Trilogy Boxset in 1997.
Meaning I also haven’t actually watched the Theatrical Cut since at least 1997 🤐
Cameron recently hinted at a 3D re-release following the 40th anniversary, but the movie itself hasn’t aged as well as Alien and I won’t even mention the issues with the 4K ‘remaster.
Alien 3. Though technically not an actual director’s cut (which is bad in and of itself), the assembly cut was sold as being the the next best thing.
But imo its a sloppy version of the film. The ox scene was nonsensical and unnecessary, the ending scene was ruined with bad fx and bad scoring and I disliked the overal pacing.
Its like someone just swapped out a bunch of scenes and went "There ya go, all better now!"
The Legacy cut is imo the best version of the film.
To be fair, this doesn’t sound like something Israel or the US would do as this time.
Sure, there are motives, but it seems way to subtle and sophisticated a plan to have come out of the White House. It it were the US, then Trump would’ve made a grand spectacle out of it and would’ve hinted at his own involvement.
And Israel has way better things to do than to pester Spain. Not to mention the risks if they were caught. Of uniting and agitating a Europe that is currently divided on their support for Israel.
So that leaves Morocco, who at least enabled -and probably instigated- the border run.

Just when you thought the fool couldn’t possibly get any dumber…

WTF, America?
Splosions!

That’s not magic…its filler…

My modest contribution:
We own an electric fly swatter to take care of mosquitos in the house.
Whenever I take down a baddy, I’ll strike an overly dramatic pose, let the swatter spark and sizzle for a second, and then proclaim (in a deep voice):
“There can be only one…”
In all honesty, the White House still doesn’t realize they’ve lost
My bad…I read it as ‘V’… 🤐
“Directed by William Shatner” basically tells you all you need to know.
And anyone brave enough to watch the director’s cut, is boldly going where no man has gone before…and returned with their sanity intact.
Check out 4K77, 4K80 and 4K83.
Trust me, you’ll never want to watch any other version ever again ✌🏻

Wow, that’s a good point actually.

What about the Assembly Cut did you enjoy most?

To be fair, he does look like a crazed hobo…
Just saying…
