Lol and they haven't even caught the shooter yet, have they?

db2@lemmy.world · 63 pts · 343d (8 replies)

Must be gods will.

sausager@lemmy.world · 38 pts · 343d (5 replies)

Maybe god shot Charlie Kirk

ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one · 19 pts · 343d

They do say God works in mysterious ways.

Charlie Kirk committed suicide

Jiggle_Physics@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 342d

His neck just did that

huquad@lemmy.ml · 12 pts · 343d

Talk about magic bullet

not_that_guy05@lemmy.world · 17 pts · 343d (1 reply)

Yet they are already blaming the left.

Nothing new.

outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 17 pts · 343d

Yo be fair; the shot landed the target died and the shooter escaped the scene. Thats three pretty good points of evidence for it not being s fascist.

ShadowRam@fedia.io · 44 pts · 343d (2 replies)

Was it Mario this time?

psx_crab@lemmy.zip · 18 pts · 343d

No it's Waluigi.

morphballganon@mtgzone.com · 7 pts · 343d

Maybe it was Daisy

fullsquare@awful.systems · 44 pts · 343d

BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world · 34 pts · 343d (7 replies)

I was in the grocery store tonight, and I live in Canada, and some woman was on her phone on speaker next to me, and the woman on the other end was raving about "how they say they're antifascist but they're not". I had not heard the news but was wondering what she was on about, and I guess it's already antifa's fault. Imagine that.

crunchy@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 21 pts · 343d

Sounds pretty damn anti-facist to me!

kameecoding@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 343d (1 reply)

I mean, killing a fascist does make you anti-fa by default, doesn't it?

Droggelbecher@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 342d

Only if you kill them for being a fascist . Could've just been any random other reason.

BlameTheAntifa@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 343d (1 reply)

They always blame the Antifa.

prettybunnys@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 342d

… well, in this instance some anti’d a fascist

outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 8 pts · 343d

But if it was an antifa supersoldier, then didn't they... Okay i guess.

jawa22@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 3 pts · 343d

Ok, but my question is always this: "If it was antifa's fault, why is it a bad thing?"

shalafi@lemmy.world · 31 pts · 343d (4 replies)

Not clear. First they grabbed the wrong guy and let him go. Then the pigs said they had someone in custody. Then they said they released them, but it wasn't clear if they meant the first or second person.

I'm betting they know nothing because the state setup an online tipline and is begging for info.

AndiHutch@lemmy.zip · 26 pts · 343d (3 replies)

So the first guy they suspected was George Hodgson Zinn who apparently said something like 'I'd do it again' when he was near some of the cops. They let him go because he didn't match footage they have of the shooter and he was in the wrong place for the shot. Then they rearrested him for obstruction of justice. I'm not sure on the second, maybe it's the same person and they got mixed up with a game of telephone.

Passerby6497@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 343d (2 replies)

Why did he get arrested for obstruction? Or is this just a childish rational police response of "we made ourselves look stupid so you have to suffer"?

TrippaSnippa@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 342d

Ding ding ding. ACAB

Jiggle_Physics@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 342d

Yeah, he committed the crime of hurting their ego

ouRKaoS@lemmy.today · 12 pts · 343d (3 replies)

I saw a picture earlier of some guy they said was the shooter & in custody, but then heard that they didn't have anyone.

sausager@lemmy.world · 15 pts · 343d (2 replies)

Yeah I heard on the drive home that that guy wasn't the shooter but they threw him in jail anyway for "obstructing justice". No idea what he did.

KaChilde@sh.itjust.works · 32 pts · 343d (1 reply)

I can see the train of thought that these dunderheads would have. “We arrested you because we thought you were the shooter. You weren’t, and because we arrested you, we let the real shooter get away. This is your fault.”

outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 14 pts · 343d

Cop logic.

cheers_queers@lemmy.zip · 8 pts · 342d

Dont worry, they will find a sexy motherfucker carrying a backpack full of evidence tying them to the crime while theyre in a In N Out drive thru.

josefo@leminal.space · 8 pts · 343d (4 replies)

They'll never will, this was an inside job.

But_my_mom_says_im_cool@lemmy.world · 20 pts · 343d (3 replies)

Trump was like “how do I distract everyone from the Epstein files??… shoot Charlie!”

sausager@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 343d (2 replies)

The republicans voted to not release the Epstein files yesterday. Did you know that? I bet most of America doesn't know that... for some reason

josefo@leminal.space · 4 pts · 342d (1 reply)

I heard that Kirk was one of the ones that was actually pushing to release the files, like MTG. Trump himself being the one that reported him dead feels weird. The shot was too clean and perfectly executed. This is the job of someone that knows perfectly what was doing. This is at best a smoke screen, at worst is sending a message to the fellas at the GOP. If I'm right, MTG will either mysteriously drop it, or she will also be silenced.

Sorry for the tinfoil hat moment, but something's off here. So many people recording, the thing seems premeditated to me, almost a public execution

Ghis@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 342d

He also did an about face on that issue and said to drop it, so who fucking knows.

Just glad there's one less vile piece of shit in the world. This guy isn't Franz.

DeathByBigSad@sh.itjust.works · 25 pts · 342d (7 replies)

Oh man, y'all might wanna delete any Fediverse apps from your phones and use browser only. Especially if you're a US-American... gonna be awkward when the pigs look though your phone and see all this.

JandroDelSol@lemmy.world · 15 pts · 342d (1 reply)

the pigs are going to go after you even if they have no evidence. don't comply in advance

DeathByBigSad@sh.itjust.works · 9 pts · 342d

Being smart and not saying [Redacted] on the open internet is not the same as bootlicking.

For example, now that I'm not longer inside PRC and not a citizen of PRC anymore, I can safely say that "If given the chance, I will grab a gun and shoot Xi Jinping in the face", can't say that about a leader when I still live in under their jurisdiction ahem you know who I'm talking about.

Also, you can use Tor + clear session every time afte you're done. Having OPSEC is not bending over. Wearing a mask to conceal your identity is not bending over. Not having the app in plain sight is not bending over.

I used to have a US citizenship. I have family in the states. But there is no way in hell that I'm travelling to the states while the border control are ordered to deny people access due to content on people's phones.

MisterFrog@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 341d

I point out, not even China does this (in the vast majority of cases, I'm not gonna claim it's never happened)

MisterFrog@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 341d

People who go on holiday to the USA have something wrong in their brains.

The landscapes, food and historical locations would be cool to see, but man, it's bloody dystopian.

Nikls94@lemmy.world · 21 pts · 343d (16 replies)

If that would have happened with Trump, he’d have become a martyr.

prosecute_traitors@lemmy.zip · 61 pts · 343d (4 replies)

No. He would be gone and JD would have lost the election. Our lives would be better.

slaacaa@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 343d (3 replies)

Optimistic take. I think it would have easily sparked a civil war

Skullgrid@lemmy.world · 25 pts · 343d

you already have a civil war, but only one side is fighting.

"Sparked"

Have you not been paying attention? We've been in that civil war for at least a decade, you just haven't been paying attention because there's nothing organized or official. But the right has been at war for years.

morphballganon@mtgzone.com · 37 pts · 343d (1 reply)

If you've been paying attention to what's happened since, it's hard to believe it could be worse.

Crashumbc@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 342d

It can always be worse, that said I agree, it would be extremely unlikely.

But_my_mom_says_im_cool@lemmy.world · 24 pts · 343d

Better a dead martyr than a live president

vga@sopuli.xyz · 23 pts · 342d (2 replies)

But not a president.

JandroDelSol@lemmy.world · -1 pts · 342d (1 reply)

yeah, then we'd have thiel as our president through vance

Olhonestjim@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 342d

We have exactly that now.

Snowclone@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 343d (1 reply)

One trump is gone it's all over. They have a very tenuous grasp on a cult. It's not going well for them. Everytime someone tried to coop it, it totally fails and when Trump tries to change the narrative, it fails. It's been falling apart a lot longer than it's worked. Once he's in the ground, it's over.

Crashumbc@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 342d

It depends how long he lives and this goes on...

The right leadership is working very very hard to remove the Democratic process and elections altogether.

Taldan@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 343d (1 reply)

Now, yes. Then, no. I don't think anyone could have unified the MAGA right enough to win the election without Trump. If Trump hadn't ran, I could have seen a conservative winning a normal election. Not a last minute Trump replacement though

DeathByBigSad@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 342d

They would've put desantis on there. Far more competent IMO, could be potentially more dangerous.

Dems lost 2024 because people blamed them for inflation and they had terrible PR, and they fucking ran a status-quo candidate, almost any republican would've won.
