Blend up two bananas, 1 tsp tumeric, 1 tsp black pepper in 1 cup oat milk. Cook the oatmeal in that. Yellow oatmeal makes me giggle. Put a half cup frozen mixed berries in a bowl, microwave to thaw, pour the oatmeal over that. Top with raisins, cinnamon, hemp seed. Mix it up and now it looks like bloody diahrrea which just makes me giggle again but boy howdy is it delicious.

tumeric

*Turmeric. If I had a nickel for every time I've seen someone forget the first R I'd have like three nickels. Which isn't a lot, but still kinda interesting.

Yesterday, I had made a salad with bell pepper and green beans for dinner and figured, I should add a protein. First thought was white beans, which I decided against, because bean-on-bean action seemed perhaps a bit too samey.

So, I look over my counter and see tofu ...which is also beans.
Oh, I also have these chewy soy chunks ...which is also beans.

I ended up putting cashews into my salad. πŸ˜…

I guess, it would've been fine to pick one of the bean options after all, but yeah, just had a mild existential crisis when I wanted to not eat beans for once.

Quinoa works well, is not a bean and has protein!

Ephera@lemmy.ml · 1 pts · 354d

Yeah, if I had planned it better, I could've cooked quinoa or lentils or something while I'm chopping the bell pepper. πŸ™ƒ
