I mean yes, I'm talking about modern history. Obviously 50 years ago things were different. But at present time, LGBT folks are being demonised MORE than they were 15 years ago. And the fyigm folk are not affected whatsoever.
But I don't think leftist movements have anything to do with republicans accepting Thiel. It's his billions.
I was like, most CEO would be deciding which they wanted to eat lunch in and the other to eat dinner. People have no idea how wealthy the people in control are. Wealthy people are literally Gods compared to labor. A CEO of say a insurance company literally chooses who lives and dies for work, then goes home to one of seven homes.
Simple minded idiots hate trans people simply because they are different to them. Trans people existing and having rights and such does not affect their personal lives.
So they know these days it's harder to be so open about that. Now they have to come up with ridiculous reasons about they have a right to hate gay or trans people. Now there's an "agenda" and it's a "choice".
The trans conspiracy is probably the most ridiculous one yet. They think that people would so uproot their lives by transitioning (something that I imagine is incredibly difficult - especially if family is not supportive) solely so they can sneak into a woman's restroom and perv out. Who would do that? The internet is a vast ocean of all manner of depraved pornography. Why the hell would they go though all that just to perv on women in a restroom?
Obviously there is something much more compelling behind their decision that ties directly into their identity.
A lot of the people that harp on about the bathroom thing don't think about the day to day of actually living as a woman. For a lot of them most of their hate admittedly comes from sexual insecurity and being terrified of the idea that they might find themselves attracted to, and finally get a woman to agree to date them only to find out she's "secretly a man" as they'd put it and that it "makes them gay" actually.
But like the bathroom thing? A lot of them don't believe trans women actually live as women. They can't imagine it. They can only think of it through the lens of what they would do given the "power" of being able to tell people they identify as a woman and having that identity respected. That they would go into women's bathrooms and perv on women in there then just go back to being a man.
So obviously that's what all of these so-called "trans women" must be doing too. After all, my trusted news sources are telling me that you can always tell so that person I saw the other day must have been one of them "transgenders" (it wasn't, just idk... someone like my wife. A tall cis woman that used to be rather fat)
That's one of the reasons it so often takes a close family member being trans for there to be even a chance they change their tune. They have to see first hand that no, it's not a fetish, it's not some ploy to perv on women in the bathroom. That it's FAR from just "Walk into gender clinic. Tell doctor am gril." and Doc says "Fantastic! Here's some titty skittles, give me just a second to get my dick chopping scissors. Let's build you a vagina!" they have to see how genuinely happy this person is just... living as their authentic self. Many of them still don't, but the few that do change their mind have to experience it directly.
You'd think so, but a lot of that has to do with trans women getting much more attention because of the idea that trans men are "poor vulnerable girls that have been brainwashed into mutilating their bodies by groomers" and trans women are "the groomers" so the former is a tragic afterthought to the latter's insidious agenda.
No stats I can find, so I'll just go with anecdotes: I know 2 people who play badminton from family, friends & extended, so that's roughly 2 / 80 people. Let's use that as a background
730k * 2 / 80 = ~ 18200 trans women, rounding down

Sam Altman reportedly met his husband in Thiel's hot tub. The elite can be exactly as gay as they want, it's only the rest that ever had issues

Sam Altman is fuckin gay?
boonhet@sopuli.xyz · 12 pts · 270d
It was a surprise to me too.

You must be under 30 because it was definitely not that way in the recent past.
These gay right wing billionaire fucks are the worst beduase their party only accepts them because of the work of leftist movements.
It's another version of "fuck you, I got mine" but this flavor is for gay rights.

Uh no, this is not factual. CEOs decide between a 70ft yacht and a 100ft yacht. Get your facts straight.

Americans can't live in a world where their favourite rich person has to make any compromise while they skip dinners to afford a second job.

So, you're right, but that's their work day, choosing between yacht sizes.
The choice between Paris or Barcelona is the vacation they take immediately after. Buying yachts is tough work. :(
frank@sopuli.xyz · 5 pts · 271d
Yeah, between buying a political party in Paris and Barcelona, maybe

not going to paris or barcelona, buying paris or barcelona

Rich vs Poor. This is the only separation. They don't care about color, sexuality, religion, etc.
All of that is just a distraction they use to hoard more wealth and power, and push the bottom 99% deep into slavery.
Is there in plain view, as long as you have enough billions you can be a trans Muslim and they won't care.

They’ll call all gay people the devil incarnate but Peter Thiel pumps money into things they want and suddenly it’s ok.

TIL there are literally only 50 trans women in the entire US.
shneancy@lemmy.world · 19 pts · 271d
50 sounds like a correct number of trans women interested in playing competitive badminton
toomanypancakes@piefed.world · 12 pts · 271d
It might legitimately be an overestimate for that matter.

what about nonbinary people who dislike cooking? have you forgotten about them completely???
and you haven't even mentioned your opinion on waffles, do you hate them?

because the ban is petty and vindictive. trans women are roughly equal in performance with cis women

For some reason I thought there'd be way more trans women than trans men, probably because trans women are brought up so much more often.
