...and a fluffer nutter.

The idea certainly intrigues me.

Used to love them as a kid. Eventually decided I didn't like them enough to justify the sticky fingers.

Originally, they were made from the marshmallow plant, by the way: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marshmallow#History

But yeah, the modern-day formula is quite different and rather highly processed...

PunnyName@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 239d

Marshmallow is basically cooked and whipped sugar.

militaryintelligence@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 240d

Mallowed marsh dude. Basic science

anomnom@sh.itjust.works · 4 pts · 240d (2 replies)

Sugar and gelatin, which is made from Pig bones and hooves mostly.

So depends on your definition of natural.

So we’re looking at a ham sandwich

Thank you for inviting me into your home, it seemed lovely. I gotta go home now and see if I can beat a thought from my own brain.

SkybreakerEngineer@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 240d

Are you friends with an asshole beer can who takes you on interstellar adventures?

PunnyName@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 239d

I've tried that. Enjoy having your mouth glued shut.

robocall@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 240d (1 reply)

I've never tried this. Is it sweet?

n0respect@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 240d

It's basically whipped corn syrup, so yes. It has the texture of a mousse, and a little bit oozy.

ummthatguy@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 241d (2 replies)

Partial to IBC.

mojofrododojo@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 240d

yup. I drink root beer three times a year maybe, and it's IBC because it's consistent and crisp not cloying.

n0respect@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 240d

pshaw, if we're talking bottles then it's Henry's or Virgil's.

iamericandre@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 241d

Barqs has that bite

MrQuallzin@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 240d (1 reply)

A&W for root beer floats, Mug preferably over Barqs, but almost no fast food place around here have Mug. Barqs does have caffeine as well which is a nice pick-me-up

anomnom@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 240d

I’d rather have Dr. Pepper or cherry cola for the caffeine.

I don't know if they've gone national but I'm a Fit'z guy myself.
