Apple Music is actually such shit. Echoes of iTunes in a way.
I have been on the free trial for three months and, although I can find everything I want, and I can’t notice the difference in sound quality, even as a former live sound guy, I have gripes:
The web app is buggy. I’ll hit play and it doesn’t seem to immediately register. Sometimes it flashes play/pause a couple of times.
Search is garbage in that it sometimes shows things I’ve listened to before, sometimes not.
I have been listening to a podcast. I cannot specify a date range and need to keep. Scrolling. Back in time. Twenty times. Before I can find the episode bell that I’m up to. Because each page of results is like 20 podcasts.
There are penalty of reasons to dislike Apple Music. These are just a few. I’m would never normally drag a company but this is shockingly bad for a company based on the idea that the customer is right.
There was even an you outage a couple of days ago.
I’m cancelling before my free trial ends because it really is bad. I recommend you never sign up.
To illustrate with just one small example: all recent negative reviews of Yosemite National Park on Google Maps complain about the $100 non-citizen fee to enter. Teddy Roosevelt might be pissed off enough to climb out of his grave.
Yep it’s an authoritarian people that put in an authoritarian state. The war on drugs got us far, and the USA PATRIOT Act got us further. It’s completely bipartisan.
There are no true and viable classical conservative or libertarian parties in the US.
Unfortunately, with many peers in Europe at this stage. They were ok for a while when the memories of the war and later the east German police were fresh, but people eventually begin to demand perfect safety at any cost. And the cycle repeats.
What pulls me out is modern Californian-accented actors in period pieces. Leonardo DiCaprio is a bad choice for Jay Gatsby. Can’t say “old sport” convincingly. Give me Daniel day Lewis.
Aw nice I’m sure it will work out. One time I replaced a water valve in a washing machine for like $12 when my housemate wanted us to all pony up for $600 for a new one. I still feel pride. Hope you get that satisfaction.
What’s the cost difference between this and hiring rotating shifts of nurses anyway? I know the equipment wouldn’t be there but yeah
This is by far the most crazy transition that has happened in my lifetime. And I remember being asked “smoking or non smoking?”
Could just have a lamp at that point
Yep! Elections are different because they’re on a relentless schedule. Even a judges injunction ain’t worth much

Yeah but this demonstrates exceptional interest, merit, and success.
Motherfuckers
Big ups to the nice and apologetic train driver on the mernda line last night.
Our public transit operators are some real class acts.
This is a really fascinating scenario. As far as I know, we’ve never had an election re-do. I wonder what in heck could trigger one
I’d agree, but it seems universities don’t fail anyone anymore, particularly not lucrative out-of-state tuition payers
I have too, and paid dearly for it. I’m of mixed mind. Most people are trapped.
It may be unpopular around here, but the pardon power of the presidency needs to go.
Especially the power that pardons people for all crimes
It undermines the rule of law and sets a precedent that the president is above the law
It isn’t a check on the judiciary, it’s a way to negate the idea that nobody is above the law.
Case in point: Ford pardoning Nixon Case in point: Biden pardoning his family for any crimes in a time period
“Claude, no function should be more than one or two lines long” lol

Excellent analysis from an obvious connoisseur
