It honestly looks wild, if you have never watched a video of it you should it is hilarious.

I've had a few friends that had weasels and they did this to me. I thought it was just them being cute.

I did not realize that they were trying to build up their limit breaker to kill and eat me.

tiramichu@sh.itjust.works · 13 pts · 108d

To be fair, a lot of 'play' behaviour in cats and dog is largely hunting instinct behaviour too.

rhombus@sh.itjust.works · 12 pts · 108d

They also do it when they play with each other, so they probably were just being cute.

Too much editing in this clip

blackbrook@mander.xyz · 11 pts · 109d

With the editing of this, you can't really get a proper sense of it.

Roll, roll, roll, roll, roll, strike, retreat, roll, roll, potion, roll, roll, strike!

Photonic@lemmy.world · 39 pts · 109d (5 replies)

Did you mean: “Roll, roll, roll your stoat, gently down the stream”?

RamenJunkie@midwest.social · 12 pts · 109d

Ain't nothing gentle here.

"Rip and tear rodent throats out, so they'll never screeeeeaaaam"

(I know I know rabbits aren't rodents, but lagomorph is hard to put in a song)

Curiousfur@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 109d (1 reply)

Rip the rabbits throat out, so it cannot scream?

psud@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 109d

Go with bunny rather than rabbit, it fits better

Psythik@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 109d (1 reply)

So it's probably a bad idea to get a Weasel as a pet if you have cats, huh.

Edit: Or even a small dog

Washedupcynic@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 108d

Can confirm. I had a ferret that would jump onto the back of our terrier after war dancing around it. After witnessing that a few times we kept them separated. Our dog had no chill and didn't want to play that way.

DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 109d

That's exactly how we hunted wooly mammoths.

RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 109d (3 replies)

Twice the size of them...selves?

pyre@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 108d

yeah wtf is that sentence. I think they meant "stoats hunt animals twice their size" and royally fucked it

PapaStevesy@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 108d (1 reply)

Yeah, I wish there was more crossover between c/science_memes and c/grammar_and_composition_memes. What does that last sentence mean at all?

RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 108d

No punctuation either its like they just typed it out as it came to mind and they hit enter does anyone want a sandwich

Over the course of 2 decades I had 8 different ferrets. They all did this; it was adorable and hilarious.

Can we get one as a *Souls boss?

sydd@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 107d

Once a stoat wandered through my apartment. At the time I had a bit of a mouse problem. It was so surreal seeing this white noodle slink across my floor like a living squirmle.

HMWYSPlease@lemmy.org · 3 pts · 108d

...Wait until you read about how they feed/eat. Fucking brutal.

j4k3@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 109d

Saw it on the Big Island in Hawaii. Bat shit amazing.

MonkeMischief@lemmy.today · 2 pts · 109d

At first I was a little annoyed by the change of "Revolt" messenger to "Stoat."

...I like it better now!
