Bloomcole@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 71d

Yes, it's these evil RuZZian fascist bots trying to divide their different variants of fascism.

If an American who has never been to Ireland can declare themself Irish, then you, who has never been to America, can be declared American.

USian*

you might find americans in general are fine, it's just that specific country.

Tenderizer78@lemmy.ml · 10 pts · 71d (6 replies)

Wait, so "USAmericans" isn't politically correct enough for you? Only "USian" is?

And strictly speaking we have four groups:

  • Americans
  • Latin Americans
  • Whatever the fuck Canadians are. Quebecers are technically Latin Americans.
  • A few Dutch and English speaking places that we collectively pretend don't exist. Like Jamaica and Suriname.

I think USAmericans is the right one. Technically a Mexican is a USian because Mexico is United States of Mexico

I don't think anyone using "USian" is gonna complain about "USAmericans".

Personally, I like Usonian. Or colonialist pig.

Maeve@kbin.earth · 1 pts · 66d

Or colonialist pig.

I'm glad I didn't have a mouthful of the tea I'm enjoying, because I certainly guffawed at that!

LovableSidekick@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 70d

Getting progressives to pull together as a group isn't easy, because so many of us plant our feet and "refuse to be complicit" in anything they object to, instead of acknowledging the disagreements and working to resolve them while working together even harder against regressivism.

Insider trading AIPAC warmongering liberals are traitors who are working towards the same fascist agenda too and I’m sick of pretending they are not
