This is great! Where was this taken?

Mamdani went on a visit to a kindergarten class with Ms. Rachel a few months ago. The babies on the bus are going wah-wah-wah.

wide_eyed_stupid@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 37d (2 replies)

I had never heard of Ms. Rachel. Hmm, thanks!

She was accused of being a nazi by Israel because she told we should take care about all children: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ms_rachel#Activism Fun times...

Ah yes, that most heinous of crimes, not murdering babies.

Nobel meme prize nominee right here, guys!

ZeroCool@piefed.ca · 77 pts · 38d

To the surprise of absolutely no one.

Dryad@lemmy.world · 59 pts · 38d

You usually don’t broadcast things that don’t qualify as newsworthy.

cattywampas@lemmy.world · 40 pts · 38d (1 reply)

Ope, too bad nobody was listening when you said that!

T00l_shed@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 38d

His sycophants were alllll ears

Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world · 38 pts · 38d

From the same person who threatened to take away broadcast license from networks who broadcasted his pedo-ass getting manhandled in the debate against Harris.

...and when the couch-fucker got "fact checked" in his debate

theneverfox@pawb.social · 38 pts · 38d (7 replies)

In their defense, it was very boring. The white house hyped it up like he was going to drop a bomb, but it was just the same speech he always does

BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today · 10 pts · 38d (1 reply)

Just trying to stir up trouble before the election, like usual. Remember when "The Caravan" was coming to America, THOUSANDS of blood-thirsty south-of-the-border thugs coming to rape, pillage, and murder?

Then the election happened, and he never mentioned it again, and The Caravan just melted away.

This time the boogeyman is the Chinese, because he can't blame the real problem, Russia, because he KNOWS they were involved, and can implicate him.

I think we should do deep investigations into the 2016, 2020, and 2024 elections, leave no stone unturned, spare no expense, and make it all public, and find out who REALLY has been manipulating our elections.

Oh, and do a Federal investigation into Florida elections while we're at it. They've been 100% rigged for years.

theneverfox@pawb.social · 2 pts · 37d

Yeah, and back them my hackles raised then trump would threaten elections

Go on, try to hit the caravan speech now... I sleep

wayward@sopuli.xyz · 8 pts · 38d

That's just it.

No substance, no air time. It eliminates having to fact check afterwards as well. Double win!

NekoKoneko@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 37d

Yep, the most fundamental grift for Trump is converting the credibility of the office of the presidency or the country in general into credibility for his money or power scheme of the moment. That's what this primetime address was.

In the future, primetime presidential addresses (under Trump but also after) will have less credibility, because that broadcast spent some portion of it.

And if course his goal is to spend all the credibility of the presidency and US on himself before he dies, because that's just good narcissist math.

Polyphilic@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 37d (1 reply)

I tried to listen, I got through about 8 seconds, skipped ahead like 4 times and shut it off.

Who wants to listen to senile rambling about how "good" everything is?

TwodogsFighting@lemdro.id · 1 pts · 35d

It was the'episode 9'of presidential speeches.

FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca · 1 pts · 37d

I was honestly expecting an announcement along the lines of "midterm elections are canceled" or "very restrictive measures will be taken to ensure election integrity". I got really stoned in preparation

What about the Epstein files ? Already forgotten.

CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world · 34 pts · 38d

Another trumpertantrum. Of course the toddler says that.

Treczoks@lemmy.world · 31 pts · 38d (2 replies)

That was their fact-checking filter. They already know that Trump lies whenever he opens his mouth or types something on "truth" social, so they proactively did not send it.

BillyClark@piefed.social · 23 pts · 38d (1 reply)

Yes, really, any station that broadcasts a Trump speech should get shut down for spreading misinformation.

Having a Cluster B in charge is fun. Isn’t this fun? The toxic branch of the DSM, the least capable of remission of the 4 (and never, at 80), and spiraling down into Dimentia. Who thought this was a good idea?

FaceDeer@fedia.io · 7 pts · 38d (5 replies)

More than half of the American electorate.

CADmonkey@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 38d

And money-obsessed persons pushing for his election on any platform they own.

TheLowestStone@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 38d (2 replies)

Not even close. More than 1/3 of the electorate didn't even vote and, of the ones who did, slightly less than half voted for Trump.

FaceDeer@fedia.io · 3 pts · 38d

I was expecting that excuse to come up, it often does.

People who don't vote are effectively voting "we're okay with whatever everyone else chooses." So when Trump wins those people voted for Trump.

WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca · 0 pts · 37d

And the rest are complicit in their inaction.

They didn't carry Obama's address on healthcare, they didn't carry Biden's address on the threat to democracy. What's good for the goose...

mechoman444@lemmy.world · 15 pts · 38d

Doesn't freedom include the right to NOT do something, and not to be forced to do something?

Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 37d

Not according to those fucktards. Keep in mind these same folks think that gays getting the right to exist and get married is an afront to their freedoms. And being told they shouldn't be homophobes is worse than how Nazis treated the Jews during WW2.

dan1101@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 38d

Bullying and lying should also come with penalties.

SethTaylor@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 38d

That's unfair. His primetime address was too big a load of bullshit for anyone to carry. No legs can lift that.

well, good.

turtlesareneat@piefed.ca · 6 pts · 38d

...because they wanted to see him go further and introduce a plan

Uranus_Hz@lemmy.zip · 8 pts · 37d

Fox had to pay three quarters of a billion dollars for airing the same lies that Trump spewed in his speech. No network should be forced to take that risk.

Flying_Lynx@lemmy.ml · 7 pts · 38d

Barring PINO from the screen would protect everyone's sanity. A matter of global security.

ToiletFlushShowerScream@piefed.world · 7 pts · 38d

What a feckless president, such an embarrassment.

FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca · 7 pts · 37d

The media was surprisingly responsible and didn't let him lie without fact checking this time. CBS showed part of it but spent a lot of time fact checking before and after. Too bad MAGA will spin it as censorship and say the networks were afraid to let Trump tell the truth

leaky_shower_thought@feddit.nl · 7 pts · 38d (2 replies)

instead of backing up his claims he resorts to threats. great move.

HobbitFoot@thelemmy.club · 1 pts · 38d (1 reply)

well, he did back it up like a real tantrum toddler.

what a whiny little snot

xenomor@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 38d
