Oh, how we yearn for those simpler times.

Reminds me of people talking positively about the Dubya administration

It might have the contrast boosted but it appears to be real. Google maps link

Looks like if you drive down the highway to the next exit, there's a McDonald's. Also a Wendy's, a Hardee's, and two gas stations.

Only the McDonald's has an obnoxious sign poking up into the atmosphere.

Yep.

Well,

I was going to say this is pretty normal in the Appalachians. Long stretch of highway though forested hills with a single tall ass sign poking through the canopy from a distance marking restaurants/gas stations at the next exit.

Not photoshopped, it's real, I've been there

I know this is horrible but imagine seeing this after 8 hours of hiking. I don't even like McDonald's, but they could charge triple and I'd still buy a shitty burger and a diet coke.

I don't think eight hours is going to do it. You'll have to find me after, like, five days.

At one point in history as I sat and watched the crowds circulating through the top of the Pinnacle on the Blue Mountain ridge in Pennsylvania, I considered just loading my pack with Cliff bars and Gatorade, donning a pair of cheap cat ears, and parking my butt just before the overlook for an entire afternoon.

Khajiit has wares if you have coin.

It would be a lot of work just for the gag. I'd still probably make a profit.

I'd have bought some just for the giggle

Rule 5 - This post does not exist on that person’s timeline. Can you provide a direct link?

Cool, put that link in the post and make a note that it’s photoshop. Thank you.

All that's missing is a data center and parking lot
