WASHINGTON, Aug 27 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump renamed Lake Ontario "Lake America" on Thursday, escalating a feud with Canada that has already spawned tariffs on tens of billions of dollars in cross-border trade.

EOs are meant to be policies or orders on how to manage some power or other that Congress assigns to the president to manage something. They are instructions on how to do something or an order for federal agencies to carry out some action. Trump is just blustering.

This is your reminder that the president has no enumerated power to name things. The president can say “hence forth Alice and Bob will be known as Art and Betty” and we can all still call them whatever we want. You will not be sent to jail for talking about the Gulf of Mexico since that is what everyone calls it.
