They still don’t look real to me after knowing they are.

Looks like it could be the same place. Not saying they are but they look so similar.

Unfortunately desertification is a massive issue and there are probably a few towns that all look exactly like this.

Wasn't this used in one of the scenes in the Fallout TV series?

StillAlive@piefed.world · 3 pts · 2d

Honestly, it might have been used as one of their locations. I recognize this house.

I have watched so many YouTube videos on the skeleton coast. Fascinating area of the world.

The rent is very reasonable but the cleaning fee is outrageous.

None of my content is original, is just for entertainment

pelespirit@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 3d

No worries, I was just asking for Best of Lemmy content.

Pulls out guitar and starts strumming "See ya later, raider. Back down there in Speranza. Gonna share your mom's lasagna."

There's a classic horror novel called The Elementals by Michael McDowell which features a house which is being slowly consumed by sand dunes. This makes me want to reread it.

Was seeking the Nier Automata reference

Was not disappointed. Was thinking this was more Housing Complex - Desert Zone

Reminds me of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind in the house by the beach in his dreams.
