It’s hilarious how much power America had, both soft and hard, that they freely gave away. Also most of maga will align with pro-life sentiments, but how many babies, American and international, have died due to USAID and social programming cuts
The government has, TBF. The people can often be wholly against this and myriad other asshole tactics by their "elected" representatives. For the record.
No, they don't. Considering 99.99% of them lie, cheat, and steal the whole damn time (and for multiple decades on their way into said role). Ya know, like appointing Supreme Court "judges" that do their bidding (eg. Bush Jr's 2nd term) and all that.
No, there've been very few politicians that actually represent their constituency, and even the rare few that do, don't tend to do so for nearly long enough.
They do not represent us, they simply shill for their handlers.
Trump made no secrets about what he planned on doing, and the only things he didn't mention was the scope of what he was willing to do. One third of Americans voted for someone who said he would be a dictator for a day, and thought that was okay for their potential president to say and/or do. One third didn't think that was a big enough of a deal to go out and vote against him, essentially saying they were okay with however the election turned out. This is just one example of the horrific statements that were made in public, on the record, that people didn't think was enough to reject him as president. Sure, he lied, and I'm sure Harris did, too. But the truths were enough to damn him if Americans were willing to do so.
He is your president, chosen by the majority of Americans, by action or inaction.
I seriously doubt that you are. And yeah, my jimmies are fuckin rustled alright. Your Pedo-in-Chief is doing a great job rustling jimmies all over the globe.
Millions of us disenfranchised poors are just as full of rage as you are, son, if not moreso. Divisions among us is exactly what the parasite class needs to keep it all going, frankly. Maybe take a breath? 🖖🏼
I see it in what seemed like great USA coworkers, the propaganda makes them think EFF yeah America #1. There is sadly some truth to the stereotype of Americans being dumb. Its not that they aren't intelligent, its that they are easily swayed by flags and fireworks.
Governments in democratic countries are elected by the people and are a mirror of said country.
One third of the USA voted for him knowing he is fascist and cared only about hurting minorities.
Another third said we are sitting this one out knowing he is a fascist.
So two thirds of three hundred million people voted for this outcome and you are here defending them.
Over 66% of Americans support the actions of this administration. 1/3 actively voted Republican, another 1/3 decided they didnt really care and were okay with it and decided not to vote, and another 1/3 may have voted democrat.
That 1/3 who are supposedly against this administration thinks that scheduling a biannual costume and funny sign parade is enough resistance and pat each other on the back online with bangers like "i didnt vote for him" and "the majority disapproves".
You are all complicit and the world sees you that way. Go fix your fucking country or shut up.
this is a big reason why I'm happy Trump won the second time. i am so fucking tired of hegemony, make me less relevant than Spain please
Trump accidentally did exactly what communists had been hoping for for 25 years. we were never gonna give up our power, military acumen, and technological superiority willingly. this guy, though. he really can do anything
Please don't hurt the feelings of the Spanish, they are still longingly looking back to the glorious old days of colonizing erm exploring foreign lands
My favorite outcome of Maga is showing the world why it's good to collectively pool power against the US and Russia. Blessings on your kingdom and your holdings, fookin hosers
US diplomats after Bonespurs has his final Big Mac Attack and MAGA disintegrates in orgy of backstabbing: "I don't suppose we can just pretend this all didn't happen?"
Greenland is part of North America but it has an EU association because Denmark. Kind of sets a precedent for it not being weird that Canada can get one too.

you're confusing "pro life" with actually caring about life. it really should be called "forced birth" or something similar.

"Anti-abortion" has always been a good term, but fanatics like their slogans to sound positive.
Holytimes@sh.itjust.works · 4 pts · 1d
pro "forced" life they jsut don't say the quiet part out loud.
adarza@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 1d
the baby and the birth are also irrelevant. it's 'control over women'
Godort@lemmy.ca · 15 pts · 1d
The right seems to fundamentally misunderstand how to actually wield soft power to get things they want.
They operate in a world where they want to dictate behavior and have everyone below them fall in line.

It's in line with the interests of pootin. Wild coincidence, isn't it.

If they were already born then it doesn't matter to them. Only non-born babies are important. Once you're born, then good luck.
Malica@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 22h
They don't care about babies, they only care about punishing women for having sex

It's the best outcome. And the USA has shown their true colours and how they see themselves.
LovableSidekick@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 1d
The best outcome would be for reasonable Americans and Russians to prevail and not let the lunatics take everybody down with them.
