Then I realized the post was really, really old and new releases still hadn't included that change.
I injured my right hand last year, and at least I can play Mario Kart using only the left joy con and remapping some buttons. This thing sounds interesting, but I guess it would be hard to get used to it.

noto-fonts-cjk contains some asian characters. noto-fonts-emoji contains emojis.
Also check packages ending with "-nerd", those are fonts that have patched extra symbols. They are used by several Neovim plugins, for example.
Just do the complete opposite of what they did and you should be fine.
