Fuck man, if AI made it so I didn't have to work 40 hours a week just to live, you know what I'd be doing?

I'd be keeping busy about as much time per week, sure. But I'd be doing shit I WANT TO DO instead of maximizing Shareholder Value™️. Reading, motorcycling, brewing, baking, hiking...

Living. Not just working.

Unfortunately for us all, LLMs won't do that and never were designed for it. Instead they're tools of Fascist oppression, and should be destroyed.

Buddy I'm not weeping for the retelling of stories. I'm weeping for the devolution of the modern Arts into perpetual nostalgiabait circlejerking in pursuit of profit.

There are MAJOR differences between "retelling a story because it's a historical classic that still holds emotional and cultural value devades/centuries/millenia later", and "rebooting a dead IP for nostalgiabait in order to try and make a shit ton of profit".

The whole point of pursuing the Arts and Humanities, as I understand it, is to pursue NEW art and literature that evokes new emotion. Not just to pump out Airbud 27.

It seems to be a sign of cultural stagnancy and decay that very little new media is getting produced and ascending into the mainstream. I'm not saying NO new media is getting made, obviously there is more than ever, but a ton of what makes it into wider public consciousness seems to be remakes and reboots and sequels and side stories of established IP from 30+ years ago.

The incentives for safe financial bets has killed the future of original media. Weep, weep for the future. We shall see Airbud 27 by the end of the decade.

I reject this level of nihilism. Things are bad, and the future may be bleak, but to give up now is to forfeit any chance of it ever getting better.

A better future IS possible. We CAN build it. We WILL build it.

Organic acids from the yeast, mostly. Very low acidity in this batch of bread, likely hasn't picked up any serious acid-producing microbes in the culture yet. Will likely shift to lower pH over time.

I poured some from the bottom of the carboy into a jar, after secondary ferment. Then I fed it, and it worked well. Idk maybe I just got lucky, or I beat the statistics through quantity. Your mileage may vary.
