And then there's Ross, who is the brother, actual family, so it's really not weird for him to eat with them if he happens to be on the way (although we don't know where he lives in the first half of the show). He seems to do it less frequently than Chandler and Joey, too. Phoebe is the one who is the least close with the rest, just a former roommate, and appropriately, she doesn't raid Monica's fridge every morning.
Maybe it's not the norm, but it shouldn't be that weird, the circumstances make it plausible. It's the whole point of the show being about a tight group of friends and family. If anything, I would imagine the weirder part is that they all keep their door unlocked almost all day long for anyone to raid the fridge, but that's the part where it's just "it's TV, don't overthink it."
The term friction in gaming is a good thing, it's basically engagement, keeping you awake while going from point A to B, a challenge, a puzzle, making you think or act / react, test of skills. Seeing it as inconvenience just shows the disconnect between what the dev wants you to do and what gameplay loop makes you happy.
If you think that a particular thing matters a lot, and other people think that thing doesn't matter at all, then clearly they're nihilistic degenerates.
Random goofy faces where the person just does the same face everywhere is terrible, but if it's a channel I know is serious about what they do (not necessarily serious as in never make a funny), I can understand that putting on an appropriate face for the content does send an easily understood message about what kind of video it is just by scrolling quickly. It's not a bad thing to tell if it's going to be a complaint video or a happy news video and the likes. Of course, the face value drops pretty quickly if it's a random channel I've never seen, because I don't know how relevant it really is and if that random person's alleged feelings will inform what I can expect to feel in that video, or if it's just random engagement bait that I don't resonate with.
If the channel works for me, then making the goofiest joke face possible isn't nearly as off-putting to me.
Maybe it changed in your country but that doesn't affect the meaning it has in my country. We may use the English language to communicate, but we're not reproducing all of american culture, and we don't bring over all of their changes. Yes, it's confusing for you. For us too. No, don't expect the rest of the world to adopt all the changes you make.
Whenever someone sells a book about any scientific field without doing a paper in a journal first, you can bet your ass it's because they fully know they'll be eviscerated by peer reviews and they just care to make a quick buck even if they actually believe whatever they're saying and it's everyone else's fault for being closed to new ideas.
And on top of that, no matter whether you're right or wrong, people will interpret it and the discussion will be vague and some people will remember the wrong number of drinks per day and there will be a million different variations of one quote going around at any dinner table that brings up the subject and some people will remember that it's different for everyone so maybe try calculating your body mass and your age and the number goes from one drink a month to 15 drinks a day unless you've had a cold in the past 6 months in which case don't touch any water.
In the MCU, Loki came first, and the Marvel heads were hinting early on when Spider-Man followed that none of the events of the other movies would have happened without the events of Loki first, and / or maybe that Spider-Man just gave the final push after Loki - but none of the characters in either movies are aware of who broke it first (except Loki). But then, that was when they were making plans for Kang, and throwing in Ant-Man that was also intended to suggest that the quantum verse was common to all universes, quantum travel was going to play a part in the incursions (pushing the theory that they all played a little part in breaking the walls), but then they gave up on that, and that's why the loss of some context made it weird.
We don't know yet how Doomsday and Secret Wars intend to fix that mess, retcon it entirely, or just... handwave it away - but they'll probably pull a random explanation. So far, it's looking like Doom is angry at Steve for breaking the timelines just to have a child, so maybe he'll blame the careless time travel that the Ancient One warned Banner about. Plus Doom seems to have a goal of his own about a potential dead wife and child, so maybe he'll hold some sort of added responsibility.
Well, there certainly is a disconnect between the people who spread the story to trash talk the Minoans and lord over their Greek superiority, and the people who actually lived in Knossos in the following thousand years and made those coins. I don't know what etymologist reached the conclusion that the word "labyrinth" both comes from the Greek myth, that specifically revolves around getting lost, and also points to a single path rather than a branching path.
Ideally, sure, but then this also happened in the period when they were reducing their output to focus on quality instead of quantity because everyone was telling them they were pushing out mostly shit, so... And this is still seen in how this year only has Spider-Man and Doomsday, and then next year will only have Secret Wars. Setting things up worked when people liked the first couple phases, but Cap 4, The Marvels, Ant-Man and such have not been doing well.
They did plan to hint at variants of Kang in the few movies that came after Loki. Then Majors was out, and RDJ came back as Doom too late to do anything in any other movie before Doomsday. Until F4 and the Thunderbolts post-credit. There just hasn't been that many movies or series between those two events.
More like the Minoans likely had a bull hero worship and the Greeks hated their guts (beacuse the Minoans were stronger and probably raided them and / or forced a tribute on them) and, as they do with all the other cultures they ransack, they claimed that their own gods were stronger than whatever the Minoans worshiped and punished them with some ugly hybrid. As in, the Minotaur story is from the Greeks, probably a mockery of Minoan culture.
