Plex is good for those in our circles who only know of VPNs from ads on YouTube.

Jellyfin is great and all but not something you can just expose to the internet and hope for the best.

I only have one UBI AP that was swiftly flashed to openwrt watching the shitshow unfold during CV19. I stepped up to a product manager role for a computer component store, took on lots of brands UBI included.

I didn't get the hype behind UBI but they sold well and kept my KPIs on track, but working with / being an enthusiast I guess gave me a different perspective from old Joe down the road.

From a laymans perspective, seems like that's to clear off debris / surface grime and grit. Adequate cleanup would need to happen ontop of the surface prep.

It however would do fuck all about the water that's soaked past the surface and much deeper into the stone. NFI how long that would take.

For perspective I've spray painted some things, laid some bricks, grouted' some outlets into walls and have no career or formal education in those fields.

How are you combatting the web crawlers / AI shitfest?

My small repos were getting smashed for a while. Was using cloudflare tunnels, have had to put up some barriers via cloudflare to curb the traffic. Probably will investigate some wifu defence but it's just another thing to do.

Not to take away from your post but the trick to riding a bike is not to go slow. The faster you go the easier it is to balance.

Just like walking a tray of glasses, if you slow down (especially abruptly) the change in momentum can topple some, but keep moving and 'she'll be right'.
