I agree. The whole history of that area is quite the mess, and Israel started as an one. It is oversimplification to say the chain of events leading to all this is simple... But the genocide is. There is nothing complicated in condemning a state trying to exterminate a group of people. There is no neutral stance to take. You either accept the genocide, by supporting it directly, or indirectly by not opposing it - or you oppose it.

It is a pretty good poem as well.

Yeah. My biggest financial mistake was not killing myself as a teenager, when I was about to try, for the first time. Everything got just worse after that, since I got very sick physically as well, and now will be poor for the rest of my life (however short that ends up being), living on wellfare. Worst thing financially is, by living, I am just pulling the people around me to poverty as well.

The bigger, twisted to a circle -ones are tortelloni, the small ones (that can be found dried) are tortellini. There is also ravioli of course, which are the pocket sort, usually biggish. All of them are definitely somewhere between pasta and dumplings. Or more like, pasta dumplings.

Like 25% of English words are straight from Latin, and up to 75% have etymological roots in Latin (according to one Latin professor). And the grammatical rules are not divided equally by the "source" languages, either. It is an amalgam, but the flexibility stemming from the roots, is not so simple.

(Also maybe hilariously in this context, as a native Finnish speaker, to me English appears as a very stiff language. In my own, word order does not really matter, you can basically create as many new words as you like, with combining words and switching the endings to change their grammatical role, and most words can be bent, to have a lot of different nuance with just tweaking the endings a bit. The classic funny example being: juoksen, juoksentelisinkohan / I run, I wonder if I should run aimlessly around in short bursts.)

I have just a boring one. I was driving on my scooter, in one very early morning, when on a small, forest surrounded road, after a sharp turn around a hill full of trees, a brown bear disappeared in the bushes, from in front of me. I just drove on, and did not stop. My pulse jumped, since it was so sudden and, well, a bear, but that was it. They are usually not harmful to humans around here (Finland), unless they have cubs, or you have bad luck. The poor beast was probably as spooked as I was, from the scooter sounds, since we could not really see or hear each other early enough.

And having some web space is not that expensive either. I am not even close to using the cheapest options, but it costs me about 80€/year to run the space I use for my small hobby forum (I will not doxx myself), and some other things. Depending on what your income, and other hobbies are, that is peanuts.

Honestly it seems like a generational divide between the two labels.

I think this is it. At one point, when I was hanging around queer spaces on the internets, it was inclusive and preferred to use "pan" instead of "bi", but then few years later it flipped around. Same with writing LGBTQA*, which was then preferred as inclusive, but few years later apparently the asterisk made it non-inclusive instead.

Personally, I treat the labels more like a fashion thing now, since they come and go, and the "polite" ones change. So if I want to hang around queer spaces, I will just read up what is okay at the moment. Usually I do not anymore, though, since I absorbed into my spine, from the earlier internet days, that asexuals are not welcome ("A is for Ally"). I know that changed later as well, but at that point I had grown too tired, to talk about queer stuff.

Oh, nice. Thanks for the tip, I have been looking for some new cool lightstuff, since the long dark is beginning here again.

Well, has never worked for me. In fact, just the opposite. I can pretty much do any social thing at least once, and things might slightly improve for a while, if I do it a few times. But the more I do it, the more anxious I get, and it becomes slightly harder and harder each time, even if everything goes perfectly.
For example, I used to be scared to walk into the doctors office, but then after few visits it became normal, I could do it like nothing. But now, after many years of lots of visits, I am already shaking, like two days beforehand. And I have not even been mistreated or anything, the anxiousness just kind of builds up eventually. I have not found a solution to it, and doing therapy did not work... it just caused the same thing happen with it, too.

I could likely forget my name for a moment, if someone suddenly asked it face to face. I have already forgotten an important part of my address, in a situation like that before. If I am asked directly about something, there is a very high chance, I will immediately forget everything about it, as I panic invisibly. (And yes, it is autism with me.)

I cannot really remember what is the oldest, but a lot of old Team Fortress 2 gm videos, live rent free in my head, and I quote them (especially just the weird noises) all the time. And I still follow the creators, that make new ones. It has evolved into a full genre over the years.

//Edit
I went and dug through my playlists. This is "only" 10 years old, but I think it summarizes well, both the absurdity of them, and how far from the actual game, the genre is.
