Not really, exponential expansion baffles my brain.
For example, when I hear that "after Inflation, the Visible Universe was the size of an orange"... and I don't get it, I can't quite grasp it, I would have imagined that the Visible Universe after Inflation would have been a hundred million lightyears across.
How the light emitted from opposite ends of the diameter of an orange took 13.8 billion years to get to us in the center... or... something like that, with a cosmological redshift of z = (10)^16... I guess?
Here's my out-there take on consciousness:
Picture a surface of incredibly high but stable energies, like the one on a pulsar. Now imagine that those energies manage to shake a fundamental consciousness field hard enough at a large enough scale, that virtual consciousness and anti-consciousness pairs constantly bubble in and out of existence.
