Around here I'd say beef brisket sandwich with sweet BBQ sauce.

It's a Chicago dog and a can of Old Style, and it's not close.

Boiled crawfish and a cold beer. Or maybe turtle soup au sherry and a sazerac. Depends on the season.

Roast dinner and cider I think, idk if there's a more fitting combo for the British countryside

It's gonna be poutine isn't it? Or maybe ketchup chips. Anything but the fucking Caesar (why clamato????)

Probably a Cuban sandwich and Cafe con leche.

(ETA if it has to be things that grow here, probably fried alligator bites and orange juice)

Philly: A cheesesteak, hoagie, or Italian roast pork (with broccoli rabe, roasted hot peppers, and sharp provolone cheese) sandwich, and a citywide special (traditionally a 12oz PBR and a shot of Jim Beam for $5)

Yuengs & Wings (which rhymes) would be another solid choice

For the kids, maybe a birch beer and a soft pretzel

Edit: Second choice would be a Killaloe Sunrise and an Old Style Pilsner. Both are ok, on the simpler side, and people often loudly argue that the fancier alternatives with more toppings and complexity are better.

I literally live where the "Pluot," a combination of a plum and apricot, was first bred. So it has to be that.

Personally, I don't like them that much. I'd prefer to have my plums and apricots separated, Tuvix style.

Theres no drink option other than overly hoppy IPA (gross, I know, but it is the pnw) and likely salmon on some mixed greens.

At least during midsummer.

But on christmas we have pickled herring, potatos, sour cream, chive and cold smoked rain deer meat.

Chicago hot dog, surely. The deep dish pizza thing is exaggerated, but Chicago style hot dog is plentiful. Chicago style hot dog loves you. If you ask for ketchup you will have packets thrown at you disdainfully.

Weißwurst / white sausage.

Not absolutely unique, but very well-known and therefore pretty identifying for the state of Bavaria.

A giant tasteless breaded pork tenderloin sandwich (a flattened pork chop, breaded, deep fried, and placed on a way too small bun) and a Busch light.

Although biryani is mostly a special occasional thing. The daily driver would be lentils.

Similarly the more common drink would be coca cola/ pepsi.

If we aren't going based on what is naturally available which would be a variety of different berries but no fruit plus some trout and venison then it would probably be something simple like hamburgers and a screamer(a slushy with soft serve ice cream at the top and bottom mixed in like a swirl

Thin, crispy, square cut pizza. And probably an Old Style. But I wish we were better known for our abundance of great craft beer.

There's a few tourism foods we're very well known for, but the locals would get the above choices.

Minnesota: Honeycrisp apple hard cider and fried Ellsworth cheese curds.

Green Chile, and various food items smothered in green chile, with a craft beer from one of the kajillion small breweries we have around here.

Vermont: A maple creeme (maple flavored, butterfat heavy, soft serve) and your choice of locally brewed beer. We’ve got a lot of craft breweries. I know Heady Topper has a cult following, but there are also other options.

Horchata and Paella

Sweet tea and fried okra would definitely win, but personally, I'd like to see fry bread win.
