What don't you understand? Do you not know what point of view means?

JackbyDev@programming.dev · 6 pts · 233d (4 replies)

Just change it to "my POV" because it's what the photographer is currently seeing.

Which then again makes it totally redundant... Just do not use it for something like this.

You can’t say “bukkake” on the internet now?

Dojan@pawb.social · 78 pts · 233d (28 replies)

I think it's funny, because bukkake is just a noun, kind of meaning to splash or pour something over something else. There are even dishes called bukkake, e.g. bukkake soba. But since in the anglosphere it pretty much exclusively refers to the sexual act, that just has a very different connotation.

Pechente@feddit.org · 61 pts · 233d (3 replies)

I mean that‘s always the issue with this dumb auto swear / dirty word detection. It is simply not context aware.

Recently in a game of Hell Let Loose, someone wrote in chat that he needs hearing aids while playing and the game automatically censored „aids“ because of „get aids!“ and whatever shit someone might say in a shooter.

This auto-censoring is particularly outrageous in a shooter where you can literally see people being torn to shreds by explosions.

PapaStevesy@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 233d (18 replies)

Sorry to pick nits, but if the definition is "to pour something over something else," that's a verb.

Dojan@pawb.social · 12 pts · 233d (10 replies)

ぶっ掛け (bukkake) is a noun, like "a splash of coffee."

ぶっ掛ける (bukkakeru) is a verb, like "I like to splash around."

Granted, bukkake isn't that kind of splash, it's rather "they splashed water on the flames."

couldhavebeenyou@lemmy.zip · 6 pts · 233d

I never thought I'd become such an expert by scrolling lemmy but here we are

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 233d (7 replies)

i would change your first example to "a splash of cream in your coffee". in english that implies the sense of scale.

sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 3 pts · 233d (6 replies)

No, they're explaining it to primarily Americans, who typically don't get a splash of cream in their coffee, so much as they get a splash of coffee in their milkshake.

Thus, it works correctly.

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 233d (5 replies)

since you're going to pedant, pedant correctly. they don't get coffee in their milkshake, they get espresso. when they get coffee, they get a splash of milk.

sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 233d

No, I am talking about Starbucks drinks, Frappucinos, which are basically milkshakes, that have vague hints of actual coffee in them, where the majority of the 'coffee' flavor somes from flavored syrups or chips or powders of some kind.

Those are far, far more commonly imbibed in the US, compared to the rest of the world, than the more traditional coffee with a splash of something, or a dirty 'whatever' via adding an espresso shot, a traditional latte, etc.

PapaStevesy@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 233d

Then your previous definition is incorrect, fyi

NikkiDimes@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 233d (5 replies)

It's the noun form of the verb bukkakeru. Japanese is weird.

funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 233d (3 replies)

"fondant" is an equivalent, from the French "to melt" its now a noun.

NikkiDimes@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 233d (2 replies)

Not quite the same, although interesting!

In this case, "Bukkake" is a noun in both English and Japanese. "Bukkakeru" with the "ru" on the end is the verb form that the noun comes from. English didn't change it, the picking of nits above just wasn't quite correct.

PapaStevesy@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 233d (1 reply)

Technically the other poster's definition of bukkake was what was not quite correct, the nits I picked were based on that.

NikkiDimes@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 233d

Haha fair enough. It's kind of hard to define a nominalized verb in English, I feel, so I'd give it to him, but you're free to pick all the nits 😂

sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 232d

So basically, bukkake/bukkakeru is nearly a direct translation to 'splooge'.

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/splooge

Where you can splooge your splooge all over someone, and then you'll have splooged your splooge on them.

And maybe you can be splooging untill the sun comes up, and people will say 'nobody else splooges like that guy'.

So, silly examples, but you can see 'splooge' is both the noun for the... resulting liquid, and also the verb for ... 'creating' it, expelling it.

Not exactly the same, grammatically, but pretty close.

scapegarced@sopuli.xyz · 2 pts · 233d

Maybe he meant to say that its the result of such action

Goggles seem valid, but hair? Should rinse right out.

mic_check_one_two@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 14 pts · 233d (3 replies)

Only with cold water. Semen has a lot of protein in it, which means it will curdle and harden like scrambled eggs when it gets hot. Lots of women make the mistake of trying to use hot water, (because hot water cleans better, right?) but that has it immediately gumming up and getting sticky before they can even get the shampoo lathered.

OneStepAhead@lemmynsfw.com · 5 pts · 233d (2 replies)

Also, try Conditioner, not shampoo to get “proteins” out of hair.

GreenKnight23@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 233d (1 reply)

OneStepAhead@lemmynsfw.com · 2 pts · 233d (1 reply)

Sounds like you want to plan yours out then. If you do so at your own home, we’ve solved most of your hurdles here!

sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 233d

I mean, I would consider going to (or organizing) a planned sex party or something like that, but the problem for me here is mostly that it's just bukkake.

If the uh, the set of activities were a bit more diverse, or interesting, maybe me sitting around and not doing any work, like a lipstick party... or any number of things that actually require, or are considerably more enjoyable with another person or multiple people...

That'd be more appealing.

That, and, frankly, I kind of just find the idea of a bukkake scene inherently demeaning to women... or I gueas just any uh, subject, regardless of sex/gender.

Sure, probably some ladies are into that, some guys are into that, etc.

Just gives me bad vibes, don't like the idea of treating someone's face as a collective group cum dumpster, even if its consensual, just feels gross to me.

Further, you'd need to vet the participants, screen/background check them generally, also screen for STIs/STDs, etc.

Is it just my observation or are tattos a requirement for porn actors?

slappyfuck@lemmy.ca · 4 pts · 232d (1 reply)

I think tattoos have become extremely commonplace, that’s all. I haven’t watched porn in many years, but I would guess it’s just a reflection of a general societal trend.

It shows up in the rantings and ravings of right wing nutjobs who lament these types of things. They once developed an AI to remove tattoos and make women dress more modestly, I have no doubt the porn is annoying them too.

Nomorereddit@lemmy.today · -1 pts · 232d

If you don’t watch porn, then you’re speculating. Porn aesthetics aren’t a simple mirror of “societal trends” they’re shaped by platform algorithms, niche markets, and performer branding.

Dragging in right-wing moral panic and some AI anecdote is just noise. Without firsthand exposure or actual data, this is guesswork, not insight.
