Centrist? If youre talking about the fact he doesnt criticize conservative people to their face, thats because he takes his job seriously, which is to report neutrally. Probably just seems strange because we live in a world where 99% of media coverage has a clear intention of steering peoples opinions.
Outside of his interviews, he is clearly left-leaning.

I want to see him walk on stage, rip off his aviators in a dramatic fashion revealing another pair of aviators underneath, at which point he reaches into his suit jacket to pull out an entire brick of cocaine, which he proceeds to rip in half over his head with his bare hands.
