I’ve never been able to relate to posts like this because I can’t rewatch or reread things. The only thing that I can rewatch indefinitely is Pacific Rim but even that I don’t go out of my way to rewatch it.
Same things with video games, I can only replay games that allow you to take different path.
But this doesn’t apply to food or music. I can eat the same menu every day and you won’t hear anything from me. I can also keep listening to the same album over and over again (for a whole year or more even until I found a new album to restart the cycle).
Babylon 5? It's very much in there as part of the comfort sci fi. Stargate SG-1 also. But yeah, TNG, DS9, Voyager are the holy trinity for me. The realest that Trek ever got. Lower Decks is made by people who understand that, but it's still not quite on the same level.
That's awesome. I watched it for the first time over the covid lockdown. Watched it again last year. Still holds up and it is so cool watching the technology change over the seasons. Enjoy the ride.
Which is your favourite episode? I know it's predictable but I do love the Treat Yourself epi. I also love all the exchanges with the accounting firm that Ben almost worked for 😂
I looooove Band of Brothers. I also really loved Masters of the Air, covid rewrites fucked up the last few episodes but the first few are so amazing I'm ok with that
Oh man, I’m the complete opposite of this, I rarely repeat watch anything.
I will rewatch a season prior right before another season of a show comes out, which only happens if it takes a couple years to come out. That’s about it for repeats. I tried repeating The Office once but kinda lost interest two thirds through, didn’t finish. I just prefer fresh stories
This is one of my favorite things to randomly rewatch. That and their Dice Friends series, specifically the ones with Dale as the DM. M
The other game leads are great, but I love the way he runs his games.
Didnt know my grandmother had a lemmy account, she likes legitimately every single one of those and has full box sets, only thing missing is Vera & Heartbeat.
This is the perfect place for my dilemma. I don't want all my comfort shows to be old. I want to find some new shows, I open to anything that is funny or sci, with first seasons after 2015. Mine are getting pretty stale. The current list is:
Desperate Housewives, just got it as the complete DVD set so I can watch whenever without paying to any greedy streaming service that could delete it while I was watching. Damn Susan is such a bimbo. And I'm still wondering where Bongo disappeared?
Not a show. Maybe few movies i have saved on my mobile i rewatch regularly and mostly audiobooks from Warhammer 40k universe that are constantly replaying. Pretty much 50:50 spread between music and Warhammer audiobooks playing in my earphones every time I'm out of the house.
Saved movies: 300, Mad max Fury road and Furiosa, Fight club and of course whole Warhammer TV library.
From audiobooks: i have almost 150gb fort of audiobooks from Warhammer 40k universe.
Just finished Horus heresy and Solar war for third and second time. Currently going through Ciaphas Cain series third time.

The Good Place.
I’m normally more of a Star Trek and space opera fan, but there is something about this show that makes me happy.

Since I’m the singular proof for my own experience I’ve elected to recognize that the majority are weird.
Pleased to meet you.

I use Road Quest as sleep aid, I have the audio on loop during the night. I found out that it's the road noise and music that helps.
And watching six friends having fun on road trip through the beautiful Canadian nature, is calming as there's plenty drama in the world.
