If you figure out the lobster claw, lemme know -- that's the one I want most.

Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 109d (1 reply)

Personally, I'm going for a round, hydrodynamic shape with a thick layer of blubber for diving and hunting below the thermocline.

Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 109d

So walrus or narwhal, toothy?

ms_lane@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 108d

Xander Crews could probably arrange that.

There, you missed a part

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 108d

No i have a hat full of them right here

robotica@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 108d

It wasn't even "asshole", just "anus", which is a technical word

Banana@sh.itjust.works · 19 pts · 109d (3 replies)

Mine looks like fat titties and not giving a fuck about societal standards

Stellar. I quit drinking and now I eat way more and I’ve lost 20% of my bodyweight in under six months. I was drinking tons every day, maybe 1500-2000cal.

My belt that almost didn’t fit around my belly, I’m at the final hole before I have to get a smaller belt. My pants fall down if I’m not wearing it tightly. My watch band almost needs to be replaced with a smaller one. I feel awesome every day.

I have stretch marks but no loose skin, so I’m thankful. I hope the stretch marks stay. My chest is smaller, which is totally great. I’m just starting getting back into exercising, but I feel just excellent about myself now!

surewhynotlem@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 109d

Congrats!

velma@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 16 pts · 109d (3 replies)

I've got a body and it's going to be summer. It's perfect :D

NotAnonymousAtAll@feddit.org · 6 pts · 109d (1 reply)

I fully support this idea for everyone else, this is clearly the right way to approach the topic.

Doesn't stop me personally from trying to transform a few more kilos of fat into muscle though. My excuse is that it is for health reasons, but deep down I know vanity is a relevant factor.

velma@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 4 pts · 109d

I hear ya! I try to stay active enough in general throughout the year for health and vanity reasons myself. Just not interested in piling on extra self-loathing for summer alone haha

TommySoda@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 109d

Have gone down to the beach every day, but still waiting for a body to wash up

Deestan@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 109d

What could be a more summery shape than that of half melted ice cream?

Catoblepas@piefed.blahaj.zone · 11 pts · 109d

I live in a place where it gets up to 110+ F/43+ C regularly in the summer, my summer body is molded by hiding from the sun and waiting for the sweet release of night.

FauxLiving@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 108d (1 reply)

Was hoping for a 6 pack, ended up with a keg.

aviation_hydrated@infosec.pub · 2 pts · 105d

Kombucha?

zxqwas@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 109d

My summer personality is nothing to write home about either.

TommySoda@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 109d

I'm down from 228 to 220. Not really that great, but I'll keep you posted lmao

I miss the days of being 150 lbs. I felt like I had so much energy I could run a marathon. Now I feel like a quick run could kill me. :D

smuuthbrane@sh.itjust.works · 6 pts · 109d

Once I'm put in the smoker I'll render down quite nicely.

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 108d

My collection is coming along fine

edgemaster72@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 109d (1 reply)

My ideal summer body is replacing this rotting flesh husk with cold, hard machine precision. But that's not really an option yet :(

I have a body for radio, and a personality for print

I discovered that the amount of carrots I can eat before I am uncomfortably full is like 150 calories worth of carrots, which means I can nearly double the amount of beer I can drink while still running a small calorie deficit.

MidsizedSedan@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 108d

If you change your clock to Southern Hemisphere Time, its getting to winter. No need for a summer body.

gandalf_der_12te@discuss.tchncs.de · 4 pts · 109d (1 reply)

i got a tan for the first time in my life (at least that i can remember). it was the first spring not mostly spent in front of computer screens. :)

Return_of_Chippy@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 109d

Hell yeah

LaunchesKayaks@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 108d (1 reply)

Have to start training my horse like almost every day, so I'll prolly end up with a half decent bod by the time winter rolls around again lol

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 108d

I bought a bike last summer. It's been out of commission for 5 of those months, but 700 miles is pretty damn good for a year.

Etterra@discuss.online · 4 pts · 108d

Mine's in a shape.

I’m trying to shed about five kilos before the heat really hits. Not for any sort of beauty reasons, I just wanna make forty degree summer days suck slightly less.

brownsugga@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 109d (4 replies)

Got my ass back in gear after gaining 80lbs during Covid. Not going to win any competitions, but I'm in shape and sub-15% fat

Eheran@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 109d (3 replies)

Below 15%? When does it start to get dangerous?

brownsugga@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 109d (1 reply)

I dunno, for men that compete they are usually at like 7% I think... best I ever got down to was like 8. If you're not actively trying to cut it down men are usually around 15-20, women 20-30

Edit- I did not google this, top of my head numbers

Anivia@feddit.org · 3 pts · 108d

Men that compete go much lower than 7%. If you stepped on stage with 7% you would get laughed at, I've gone that low as a hobbyist that doesn't compete (see my profile picture, that was my lowest ever bodyfat last summer, bulking through summer this year)

Anivia@feddit.org · 2 pts · 108d

Dangerous as in unhealthy over the long term, or as in acutely life threatening? For women 15% is already unhealthy, but not acutely dangerous.

For men 15% is pretty much ideal for health, but you can get as low as 8-10% before it starts becoming unhealthy.

To be acutely dangerous you need to go much lower as a male, about 4%. That's how low bodybuilders go, and you occasionally see them collapse on stage (although usually because of dehydration, not low bodyfat)

I had some time off work recently and had a big plan to work out and get back in shape during my break... But got a bulging disk in my back the weekend before it started. Still was able to get some running in, but everything else got put on hold

Jankatarch@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 108d

I practiced stretching last few months for no particular reason.

My body still looks like that of a LOTR dwarf shoe-mender but I can at least do w-sitting as an adult now.

Bloomcole@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 109d

It's the same body, only a bit darker and more wet

dwemthy@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 109d

Warm in the winter, shady in the summer

ivanafterall@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 109d

Belly is aaaalmost gone.

ms_lane@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 108d

It's 'winter' now.

Now excuse me while I be frozen cold at 23c.
