“Why didn’t they just murder him within seconds and without warning?”

-idiot Americans

Ho they do sometimes

PhobosAnomaly@feddit.uk · 3 pts · 46d (4 replies)

When?

That's a list of deaths directly connected to police in the UK.

Where is the evidence to support the claim that they were killed within seconds and without warning?

ohulancutash@feddit.uk · 10 pts · 46d (1 reply)

Aside from the shoot to kill policy after 9/11 which led to an innocent man being stalked by police then without warning held down and immediately shot seven times in the head.

PhobosAnomaly@feddit.uk · 5 pts · 46d

You're right. Deaths under that policy would have been classed as a lawful killing, and I've noticed that I've changed the OPs question erroneously. Thank you.

The question should have read "murdered within seconds and without warning".

Title could be "two buddy on an relaxing bike ride" and i would've believe it

Wistful@discuss.tchncs.de · 38 pts · 46d (2 replies)

I really thought that was a skit at first.

Shrubbery@piefed.social · 2 pts · 45d

Because of the stupid music

Nomad@infosec.pub · 2 pts · 45d

Its somewhat of a pun on the Favela motorcycle chase video that circulated here a few days ago.

hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 37 pts · 46d (11 replies)

That's the laziest riding I've seen in a while

stylusmobilus@aussie.zone · 23 pts · 46d (5 replies)

I think it’s probably faster and going harder than we think but yeah, it looked pretty relaxed didn’t it

hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 24 pts · 46d (3 replies)

The speedometer shows ~8-10kmh

nibbler@discuss.tchncs.de · 2 pts · 45d (2 replies)

UK uses miles, so I guess mph, which is way faster.

hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 6 pts · 45d (1 reply)

Eww

But that's still only 16kmh, which is very slow for cycling

nibbler@discuss.tchncs.de · 3 pts · 45d

I saw a lot of twelves there, which is 19kmh. While dodging trash bins and trying not to kill anyone, this is a reasonable speed. Not for a competitive cyclist of course.

I think the video was doctored to be even slower....

Cypher@aussie.zone · 6 pts · 45d

Yeah…. Nah. I used to race bikes and this lot are barely peddling lol

BradleyUffner@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 45d (3 replies)

There was no reason to go any faster. He wasn't an immediate danger and they were just following him until he could be safely stopped. No need to escalate anything.

hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 14 pts · 45d (2 replies)

I'm talking also about the guy being chased

BradleyUffner@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 45d (1 reply)

Apparently I'm not operating on enough sleep. 👍

froh42@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 45d

The guy who was chased neither.

stsquad@lemmy.ml · 7 pts · 46d

They got him didn't they?

NarrativeBear@lemmy.world · 20 pts · 45d

Honestly edge of my seat the whole time.

Archangel1313@lemmy.ca · 17 pts · 45d

That cop rides like my grandmother.

i_stole_ur_taco@lemmy.ca · 14 pts · 46d

I watched this muted, but my windows are open and there’s a bunch of sirens outside so this was a very exciting chase!

johsny@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 46d (1 reply)

Thrilling chase.

ZombiFrancis@sh.itjust.works · 10 pts · 46d
