honestly, I would LOVE to have the time, resources and skill to just buy this bad boy and restore/mod it

cannedtuna@lemmy.world · 28 pts · 37d (1 reply)

Gotta get it ready for those Whacky Races

Jhex@lemmy.world · 19 pts · 37d

CIA_chatbot@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 37d

Dude same, this is sick as hell

Jarix@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 37d (2 replies)

Exactly the kind of thing I would like to do an ev restomod on

Jhex@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 36d (1 reply)

my current retirement plan is to get a beetle and transform it into an electric cabriolet… I still have a few years to get the skills and money… assuming I can retire some day hahahaha

Jarix@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 36d

The University of British Columbia engineering department did that like 15 or 20 years ago. They may have released a bunch of their information that might be useful for when you retire.

Sounds like a great plan

How many gallons per mile does it do?

nao@sh.itjust.works · 21 pts · 37d (4 replies)

Looks like it could house a fairly large battery

Zachariah@lemmy.world · 37 pts · 37d (3 replies)

or batter a fairly large house

cannedtuna@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 37d

Or a fairly large horse

Apeman42@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 37d

I prefer my houses with breading over batter.

corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 37d

Um, we call that stucco up here.

Eat_Your_Paisley@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 37d

negativenull@piefed.world · 30 pts · 37d (12 replies)

Asidonhopo@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 36d (4 replies)

Your link doesnt have a time code so it just goes to the beginning of the movie

agamemnonymous@sh.itjust.works · 7 pts · 36d (1 reply)

Your point?

Asidonhopo@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 36d

I thought maybe it was missing, I will watch it soon. Always thought the trailers looked good!

Widdershins@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 36d (1 reply)

Yeah watch the movie it is still good

agamemnonymous@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 36d

Better now probably, it was ahead of its time. It's much more poignant now after the flood of superhero movies.

Edit: Oops I accidentally watched it again. I started it for funsies waiting for the second it got boring to stop, and oops. Watch this movie, it's really good.

ChicoSuave@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 36d (1 reply)

agamemnonymous@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 36d

God damnit I don't need another project

DJKJuicy@sh.itjust.works · 22 pts · 37d

That vehicle is fucking dope.

NoPanko@feddit.uk · 14 pts · 36d (1 reply)

Seems to be a Chevrolet 5100 panel van, what a cool looking vehicle

db2@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 36d

Cab over engine truck modified in to a panel truck. Could have been factory or aftermarket. It wasn't a regular production model like that though.

Love to see that restored, ganged up.

Couldbealeotard@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 36d

Looks like a car you'd see in a Final Fantasy game

mrmisses@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 37d

I think more like 12-15. 6 or 7 on a bench along both sides facing each other in the back plus 2 up front, three if it's a bench seat.

Maultasche@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 37d

And how many violin cases?

henfredemars@infosec.pub · 5 pts · 37d

Man they need to make chubby cars again. They were so cool.

Poppa_Mo@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 36d

If the Jeepers Creepers monster had a vision...

0ops@piefed.zip · 4 pts · 37d

brucethemoose@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 37d (1 reply)

Look at that rear tire! Is this a sleeper drag van?

__Lost__@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 36d

Definitely something cool under the hood here

Kowowow@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 36d

The vehicle you buy when she says she's ready to call you boss

FryHyde@lemmy.zip · 3 pts · 36d

Not nearly as classic as the Herkimer Battle Jitney

Mycatiskai@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 36d

Repost that in vanlife. You could have a two bedroom in that beast.

sidelove@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 37d

Thassalotta goons

Taleya@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 36d

I wanna paint a dieselpunk train engine on that frontend

hOrni@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 37d

Won't this the car those gangsters drove in Whacky Racers?

Exusia@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 36d

I can fucking smell this truck and the layer of oily grime it leaves everywhere.

20k and a bottle of everclear

DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 37d

Give that thing a wide berth. Brushing past it is insta death.

DonkeyStar@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 36d

Reminds me of the Freeze Truck from Batman.

You know how it goes. Opinions are like arses. Everyone’s got one.

TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 3 pts · 36d

At least it has a cool design. These days they all look awful and nearly all cards are black, gray or white. And a pedophile criminal tyrant is starting world War 3. Talking about depressing.
