My dog ate 50 or so raisins (approx 100 grams by package weight) and it didn't even disrupt his shits. The fear mongering on the internet had me ready to put him down.

But just the other day I went to take mine out for their walk and were super excited to do so until they took a step outside and some invisible thing scared the bejesus out of them. They both ran back inside nearly knocking me over and then cowered in the kitchen for a while. She is pretty shy and wary of strangers, but that was the first time I ever saw her terrified of anything. There was nothing out of the ordinary going on that I could perceive.

Mine was a puppy mill breeder for 6 years and she's afraid of everything but slowly getting more relaxed. After two years, my son can pick her up without getting peed on (most of the time).
Her biggest trigger is hearing seat belts unclick. Her screeching is why I can't leave her alone so she comes everywhere with me. My car has dog mode so she's at 70F. But she hears that click and she's screeching at over 100 db. Pretty loud for a 14 lb dog.

He’s also scared of things in the home that can be moved. Like if he loses a toy behind a box and he tries to fetch it, and the box shifts a little, he jumps back and looks at me all pathetically, like the box just scolded him.
Could be anything really, a chair, an aerial root from my monstera, a shoe horn. If it moves when he interacts with it, and it isn’t a door, it’s spooky!
I think that there were some myths about winds carrying evil spirits, but draft (promaja) is nowadays known to be the cause of stiff joints and muscles, numbness, and pain. It's so prevalent in the Balkans that non-Slavs believe in it as well.
And I can tell you from personal experience, it's definitely true. Let's say it's very hot, you open up two windows to create a draft in order to cool down, and then the next day you wake up with so much back pain that you can barely move - you were killed by promaja.
My giant breed dog is afraid of everything. Everything. She still barks at us when we come home and hides behind the couch. If we're home and she hears something she hides behind us. It's hilarious to see a 100lb dog behave this way.

Anything with goldie doesn’t count, especially if it’s all goldie :). Ours ate anything we would eat plus grass, horse manure, compost, ring-pulls, socks, money, rat poison, and a football (whole). Those last two were a trip to the vet.
Goldie hearts are so pure, it bleeds out into their coats…. But no one ever accused them of being overly clever.
Snickers didn’t look much like a Goldie, but her mom was one. (And she was one of the best dogs ever!)
Also it’s important to note most kids will eat all of that and more, given an opportunity, Goldie’s were bred to be eternal puppies (retrievers in general. Wouldn’t want the retriever to eat the duck or whatever.) so it’s really not their fault!
My wife loves having her dog for protection when I'm not home. The dog that is afraid of beeps and squeaks, clacks and cracks, bumps and thumps, and most importantly, toots.
The puppy that lives with me, a yellow lab, is the property of a guide dog org. I host and do basic training for a year.
She's 3 1/2 months old, and I haven't seen anything that terrifies her. Startle? Yes, but actual fear? Not really. She doesn't enjoy thunder, but doesn't cower in a corner. She hasn't experienced fireworks yet, but I'm planning to go to the next event with fireworks nearby, and stay at a distance, do that she can acclimate herself.
The org breeds for intelligence and even temperament, which doesn't hurt.
Also, I make a point of exposing her to as many stimuli as possible while being extremely and obviously, to her, protective, so that she is introduced to things while feeling safe.
A little rock shaped hide-a-key. We had it in the house and she went crazy barking at it. Wouldn’t get near it. Not sure if she thought it shouldn’t be in the house because it’s a rock or that it was a funny smelling rock.

He is a husky mix actually so his origins is from that area, but he was born in Ireland. Got him from a rescue.
