According to starch cube theory, two pizzas stacked on top of each other is a cake, same as lasagna.

Batman@lemmy.world · 32 pts · 1y (13 replies)

According to the parks and rec theorem, it is a calzone

oxysis@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 11 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Well by definition anywhere where cal are present is a cal zone

Tja@programming.dev · 4 pts · 1y

Welcome to the low-cal calzone zone.

QED

BremboTheFourth@piefed.ca · 6 pts · 1y (9 replies)

Depends on topping orientation. Top pizza needs to be upside down to be a sandwich/calzone; if it's right side up it's a lasagna

jaybone@lemmy.zip · 3 pts · 1y (8 replies)

Doesn’t lasagna have noodles, and not bread?

BremboTheFourth@piefed.ca · 8 pts · 1y (7 replies)

Flour, water, salt, yeast, all checks out to me

jaybone@lemmy.zip · 4 pts · 1y (6 replies)

So then all sandwiches are a lasagna?

Zoomboingding@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 1y (4 replies)

No no, a lasagna needs 3 layers of starches. So like, a burger is a sandwich, but a Big Mac is a lasagna

Tja@programming.dev · 3 pts · 1y

takes notes

So we know that a hotdog is a taco, but what are burritos?

BremboTheFourth@piefed.ca · 4 pts · 1y

Or perhaps all lasagnas are ssndwiches

frog@feddit.uk · 9 pts · 1y

Wouldn't that be a sandwich since it is only two layers?

Unless you flip the top pizza, then you have 1 calzone.

___@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 32 pts · 1y (2 replies)

And if you do this twice, you've got a calztwo

abcdqfr@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 1y

Eat it, you'll have a calznone

Tja@programming.dev · 3 pts · 1y

I'm stealing this for the next pizza order. My kids will hate it, thanks!

noride@lemmy.zip · 7 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Add some spaghetti in there and you got yourself an Italian turducken.

Tja@programming.dev · 3 pts · 1y

And a curse by Nonna.

yermaw@sh.itjust.works · 51 pts · 1y (3 replies)

You have a sandwich if you rotate the top pizza.

You have a mess if you rotate the bottom pizza.

roguetrick@lemmy.world · 24 pts · 1y

Calzone

codexarcanum@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 6 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Ooh damn, I think you're really cooking on this "anti-calzone" idea! Two slices, back to back, bread in the middle surround by toppings on both sides. Basically impossible to eat cleanly or set down once assembled. It's an open-face-and-ass sandwich. A sloppy ho.

jaybone@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 1y

You could eat it with a fork a knife. Or possibly fold it at the crust?

potoo22@programming.dev · 38 pts · 1y (1 reply)

I just woke up and was not ready for this level of philosophy

HowAbt2day@futurology.today · 4 pts · 1y

Sow Crates rolled over in his grave.

Kolanaki@pawb.social · 24 pts · 1y (6 replies)

If you stack 2 pizzas on top of each other, you have made a calzone.

Zoomboingding@lemmy.world · 18 pts · 1y (4 replies)

Depends on how you orient the pizzas

RidgeDweller@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Sure, but couldn't your example be called a (huge/round) calzone with extra toppings?

Kolanaki@pawb.social · 4 pts · 1y

One of the major chains sold these as "pizzones," because it's a calzone with a pizza on top. I knew them from a local place as a "smothered calzone."

Zoomboingding@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1y

Stuffed pizza, loaded calzone, club flatbread... all valid

Signtist@bookwyr.me · 2 pts · 1y

Love me a Papa Murphy's stuffed pizza.

MyNameIsIgglePiggle@sh.itjust.works · 4 pts · 1y

Or a pizzagne

aeronmelon@lemmy.world · 18 pts · 1y (1 reply)

If you put lasagna on top of a pizza you get asked to leave the restaurant and your friends stop calling you.

BlueLineBae@midwest.social · 6 pts · 1y

They won't let you order sloppy steaks. But they can't stop you from ordering a steak and a glass of water!

Stern@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 1y

pizza face down on pizza is a calzone or a sandwich, situationally.

TootSweet@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 1y

"Lasagnagna"

JaymesRS@piefed.world · 8 pts · 1y (2 replies)

If you eat a sausage or hotdog, it becomes a new sausage as it goes through you.

jaybone@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Or do you become a different kind of sausage?

Kolanaki@pawb.social · 2 pts · 1y

Just more filling for the turd sausage that is always inside you.

Takapapatapaka@tarte.nuage-libre.fr · 7 pts · 1y (2 replies)

I'd say the layer of grilled cheese would technically make a separation between the two lasagna (yes im fun at party)

bananabread@lemmy.zip · 6 pts · 1y

That's just another layer. And yes, I would like to dicuss this further at a party

bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de · 1 pts · 1y

Not the way I make my lasagnas.

outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 7 pts · 1y (2 replies)

But if you put multiple smaller pizzas on top of one larger pizza, theyre just toppings, and you're back to one pixza again.

jaybone@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 1y (1 reply)

You could put pizza rolls as toppings on a pizza. That would also be terrible.

outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 1y

So fucking awful! Would still be one pizza, though.

And pizza rolls are more of a calzone.

dumbass@leminal.space · 7 pts · 1y (3 replies)

Depends on how you stack them if it's base to face then yeah, that's just 2 pizzas, but it's its face to face then that's just a round pizza sandwich.

nailbar@sopuli.xyz · 3 pts · 1y (2 replies)

And if you put a beef patty in between, you have a burger.

dumbass@leminal.space · 3 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Then we dip it in a egg wash, bread it and deep fry it.

ouRKaoS@lemmy.today · 2 pts · 1y

Now you have heart disease!

telllos@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y

You have two pizze

Una@europe.pub · 6 pts · 1y

Life is unfair :3

CubitOom@infosec.pub · 6 pts · 1y

Just don't read the plaque next to him or you see how much pizza and lasagna would cost you to make at home vs home much you spend at restaurants.

Jake_Farm@sopuli.xyz · 5 pts · 1y

Cause lassagna is just stacks

Tja@programming.dev · 4 pts · 1y

Deep dish is a soup, Jon Stewart made that very clear.
