If only he'd blame the one person truly responsible for this colossal embarrassment. Netanyahu.

He made Trump look like a pathetic, easily manipulated fool. The only way Trump could possibly save face at this point, would be to completely cut Israel off from all US support. (wink, wink)

inari@piefed.zip · 45 pts · 82d (1 reply)

Who's more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?

kent_eh@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 82d

Who's more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?

I'd love to get an answer to that from the MAGAts who put Trump in power in the first place.

BorgDrone@feddit.nl · 33 pts · 82d (2 replies)

He made Trump look like a pathetic, easily manipulated fool.

Mainly because that’s what he is

green_goglin@thelemmy.club · 1 pts · 81d

a_non_monotonic_function@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 81d

Good point, because he absofuckinglutly is.

EyIchFragDochNur@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 82d

Trump made Trump look like a pathetic, easily manipulated tool. The other fascist Netanjahu used that. Trump could only somehow save face by stepping down. But we know it won't just happen

angstylittlecatboy@reddthat.com · 6 pts · 82d (2 replies)

Trump could actually salvage his legacy and maybe win Republicans 2028 if he did that tbh

TankovayaDiviziya@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 82d

But Trump is too short term minded to think that.

Soulphite@reddthat.com · -4 pts · 82d

Nobody wants that, please shut up.

TankovayaDiviziya@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 82d (3 replies)

Netanyahu is also getting the backlash from his country and his allies for losing the war in Iran.

green_goglin@thelemmy.club · 1 pts · 81d

… and ducking criminal prosecution and corruption charges all the while.

technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 80d

He should be getting the backlash of a noose from the international community.

altphoto@lemmy.today · -2 pts · 82d

Why doesn't Nathan Yahoo put boots on the ground? Rough Iran a little bit. You know? A couple of nukes for good measure?

-drops nukes

Chatgpt continues: Don't forget to pull out your troops before dropping the....

Ah yes, since you dropped your nukes while your troo....each person would want a turn, so it's best to just lean on a bed or couch and drop trouser. It will feel a little cold going in. But that's why I suggested to pull the troops out first and then nuke several times.

bagsy@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 81d (1 reply)

The last president to cross Israel got his top popped off in Dallas.

Archangel1313@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 81d

(fingers crossed)

Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 81d

No need to wink, you're not far off there. He needs to put Israel in it's place, and that's likely the only way to do that.

We've shogged through so much bullshit and corruption in this country that we've made it all the way back to sanity.

TACO, though. He won't do it.

seathru@quokk.au · 55 pts · 82d (8 replies)

Well, shit. What is he going to fuck up to distract from this?

eddanja@lemmy.world · 17 pts · 82d (5 replies)

Tell us what really went down on that island.

turtlesareneat@piefed.ca · 21 pts · 82d (4 replies)

Be funny if they got in a pissing match and Netanyahu had Mossad release the full files out of spite

Hotstillnasty@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 82d (3 replies)

they cannot release it as they will loose leverage... you have to hold the cards to have leverage.

teslekova@sh.itjust.works · 16 pts · 82d

Yeah, but you also have to be willing to use a card sometime, or it becomes useless as your opponent stops caring.

kent_eh@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 82d (1 reply)

As soon as Trump becomes more of a liability than an asset they could do it to make room for a newer and younger asset.

takeda@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 81d

Unlikely, these files implicate far more people than just trump.

errer@lemmy.world · 15 pts · 82d

Cuba.

LadyButterfly@reddthat.com · 3 pts · 82d

He's just gonna spin a globe and randomly shove his finger. That's how he'll pick

redlemace@lemmy.world · 34 pts · 82d (4 replies)

I see a trend ... his meltdown's always seems to happen little after at 04:00

lennybird@lemmy.world · 37 pts · 82d (1 reply)

Midday in Moscow, after all.

redlemace@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 82d

good point!!! it's 11:00 in both, Moscow and Tel Aviv. Way too much of an coincidence !!

prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 4 pts · 82d

Sundowning

technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 80d

Things would be more chill if it was 04:20.

thebasementcakes@leminal.space · 19 pts · 82d (9 replies)

Probably going to change his mind, his weak toddler mind got the us into this

EvergreenGuru@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 82d (6 replies)

His dementia would have to severely deteriorate his mind to the point that he was completely different person for him to backtrack now.

He’s already been told that if the straight remains closed and the bombings continue that he risks a global depression, and Trump loves to talk trade. Surrendering is him trying to salvage what little he has left to lose.

He could change his mind on everything but this. This is where the stakes are too high and he can’t afford to lose anymore ground.

BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today · 4 pts · 82d (1 reply)

Nah, some reporter will ask a simple question, and he'll go off about how tough he is, and Iran will do whatever he demands, or he'll clobber them, and they'll just quit the talks.

If I were them, every time he opens his mouth, I'd go silent for a month. Let him twist for a while, before coming back. In a year, maybe he'll learn to keep his mouth shut, but I doubt it.

EvergreenGuru@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 82d

lol This is great (toxic) fun if you’re dealing with a difficult family member, but very dumb if you’re interacting with a belligerent nuclear empire.

Whostosay@sh.itjust.works · 4 pts · 82d (1 reply)

Lol I see you've brought logic to a dementia fight, you'll find out soon enough this isn't a solid plan

tempest@lemmy.ca · 1 pts · 82d

The ghouls surrounding him don't care about the US, or how much this costs it. They only care about money and since a large part of the stock market is disconnected from reality they gotta make it especially bad because Trump's Friday dump and Monday pump has stopped working.

teslekova@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 82d

Changed his mind every other time a deal was close, why stop now?

artyom@piefed.social · 0 pts · 82d

If only there were some sort of American resource that could supplement the oil supply and reduce our dependency on foreign nations... Oh well.

BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today · 5 pts · 82d

More likely, he'll just run his mouth, acting like my stupid uncle at Thanksgiving, until Iran says " Fuck You," and walks away.

Iran doesn't really want this deal, they'd be happy to grind him through the Midterms. They're throwing him a bone, but he'll be too stupid and arrogant to understand that, and they'll eventually pull their charity and go home.

technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 80d

Come on... Toddlers are alright.

WhatsHerBucket@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 82d (9 replies)

Ambien is no joke

sns@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 18 pts · 82d (8 replies)

America is though.

kreskin@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 82d

Now you're just teasing the slow kid and its making everyone a little bit uncomfortable. Come on man, America knows they suck.

WhatsHerBucket@lemmy.world · -5 pts · 82d (6 replies)

Trump != America

taiyang@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 82d

Trump >= 0.37 Americas

However, the delta Trump is about -0.13 Americas over 1.7 months, with some margin of error.

I'm so sick of this sentiment. Erasing nuance so you can hate and blame victims. I know you won't stop though. Everyone who voted against trump and tried to talk sense into the other side is still trash to you, and that fucking sucks.

yakko@feddit.uk · 11 pts · 82d (2 replies)

Yeah let's just judge entire people by their elected leaders. Let's forget about Citizens United, the bullshit voting system, gerrymandering, voter suppression, foreign influence campaigns, corrupt primaries, and the death of the fairness doctrine. You can totally judge an entire people based on their president, that's not childish at all.

Big fat /S for those who so clearly need everything spelled out

TrickDacy@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 82d (1 reply)

Thank you! I've said it before and I'll say it now. Even though Putin does have way more support than trump does, I will never judge the whole of the Russian people by his actions as dictator.

yakko@feddit.uk · 4 pts · 82d

Some Russians get it. Pussy Riot and Little Big shows that much. You always wish the people living under corrupt authoritarians were more rowdy, outspoken, proactive - but there's no such thing as a morally superior hater.

Manic, Meltdown

also see "unhinged", bizarre, gibberish, confused etc.

I bet journalists have lists of adjectives stored somewhere and one of them is labeled Trump.

generic_computers@lemmy.zip · 9 pts · 82d

It's just another Manic Meltdown 🎶

resipsaloquitur@lemmy.cafe · 15 pts · 82d

Worse “deal” (treaty) than Obama.

Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca · 9 pts · 81d (1 reply)

Why is it always a "meltdown" and never a "melt him in acid"?

Warl0k3@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 81d

Because we don't get that lucky :(
