Zip up is more comfy to take off/on quickly, but non-zip has an overall nicer feel imo. And also I like the singular pocket with 2 hand holes that they have :3
Pullover does more to hide the silhouette and proportios than a zipper. My fat ass belly almost disappears under a pullover, but depending on the zipper's mood can even be accentuated by it.
I do love a kangaroo pocket, but I can't stand pulling a sweater over my head, especially given how often I get in and out of it over the course of the day.
I'm team zipper but I do look on the other side of the fence with longing.
Same. I wish I liked pullover but I simply cannot for practical reasons of thermal regulation.
Leave work - on. Get walking - hot from exercise now, zip down. Keep walking - super toasty now, all the way off. Stop in the park for a bit - cold, on. Walking again - zip down. Home - off
Pullover in really cold weather, zip up in mild chilly weather so you can adjust the neckline.
Also, you can hold your own hand in the pocket of the pullover
Zip. It's versatile for the weather. Cold, zipped. cool unzipped. Warm, sleeves up. Single front pocket is overrated acts like a purse, stuff gets lost. Two pockets means you're organized.
Zip. I like to be able to remove the hoodie quickly, without messing up my hair. My Carhartt zip hoodie gives a bit more of an androgynous vibe, which is whatever. I probably take my hoodie off more often than others (too cold too hot).
Both. Pull over is just so comfy. I have a oversized pull over that is amazing for feeling comfy at home, partner's house, or running an errand. But zip up hoodies are so much more adaptable to changing weather and much easier to take on and off. So I have one of those too.
But Zip, despite for what other said about it folding like a boner when sitting, is comfier to put out and makes me feel cool when I have it unzipped :3

why are quality cloaks so expensive I want to ominously brood outside nursing homes.
and dammit I should be allowed a scythe! No officer I'm not planning to reap any wheat with it but it looks cool as hell.

If you tip the fake blade in orange, smarter class traitors know it's a prop, and won't ask you researchable questions.

Pullover would just make me mad.

Pullover. Zip always bunches up when you sit down making it look like you have a boner coming out of your belly button.
hOrni@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 42d
Pullover looks better imo.

Hoodies without zips are stupid.

Zipper as because I live in a relatively warm area, I almost always wear it open. I just can't stand having to take pullovers off or on
cyclonedusk@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 8 pts · 42d
I was going to say zip...
But no. Pullover. Zip has utility and convenience. When I'm particularly dysphoric i feel like the pullover just hits the vibe closer

Pullover. I need to be able to hide like a lil turtle and zippers make more curves, not less 🥲

Pullover for maximum protection. I am safe in the hoodie.
Was anyone else super self conscious of their nipples poking through their shirt? I use to sperg out in elementary and middle about it.
Thank you Linus Blanket Hoodie
Still cis tho

Zip up for public, pullover for comfy.
Grail@multiverse.soulism.net · 4 pts · 42d
Pullover all the way. Zips are cold in front, the most important place. Unless they're double breasted

Zip up I value the option to wear open more than the cost of occasional less comfort.

Zip temp control
quantumgenderino@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 2 pts · 42d
Yes! Comfortable temperature is a very narrow band and being able to regulate it by doing more than taking a layer off entirely is huge!
renegadespork@lemmy.jelliefrontier.net · 3 pts · 42d
Pre-transition I was all about zip up’s, but now I can’t get enough of pullovers they are so cozy!

The left one was for my boymod and hiding my chest. It was my favorite I gave it to someone 2 month ago. 🥳

i've been a lifelong pullover fan and you can pry it from my cold, dead hands
gandalf_der_12te@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 2 pts · 40d
pullover but has to be longer, at least go over my ass and maybe some of my legs. and also can be short-sleeved. should feature a hoodie though
Robyn@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 2 pts · 42d
Zip up allowed me to regulate heat better.

Zip for me. It helps me see which way to put it on, how many times do I end up with hood at the front, I do generally notice before going out
renzhexiangjiao@piefed.blahaj.zone · 1 pts · 42d
zip but it has to be plastic. can't stand metal zippers
EatMyPixelDust@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 2 pts · 40d
I don't like plastic zips, they break too much.

Is dysphoria hoodie a common meme or am I just confused?
