No pretending going on here. For a lot of establishment Democrats this has been standard operating procedure. We absolutely need to change what a Democrat is and make it not include people like them though. And the fact they're reacting like this. Indicates that they know just how painfully vulnerable they are now that the DSA is directly targeting them and not just running third party.

Even more accurate would be Michigan Zionists. Don't let them get away with pretending this is about Judaism. Its about denying the liberation of the Palestinian people and continuing the ongoing oppression and genocide.

No, the title is accurate. There are a bunch of people that I've run into that flat out said if the DSA candidate for governor on my state won, they'd vote Republican.

They basically flip the term around. IE criticizing a specific government, is anti-semetic. Blanket blaming an entire population of people for things they aren't even directly associated with, is OK.

The authors of this letter are telling Jewish voters to abandon any principles they have regarding their own country - it doesn’t matter if you support abortion rights, believe in funding public education and social welfare, or just oppose the Trump / fascist agenda. None of that matters compared to supporting Israel. It’s the antisemitic “dual loyalty” trope come to life.

I like (not really) how Mike Rogers is described in the mildest manner but Sayed is described in boogeyman terms.
