Hello, Minneapolis resident here but I didn’t always live in Minneapolis. Once, long ago I lived in a quiet little mountain town of Boone, NC. Guess who else grew up there? A pathetic squat little toad named Gregory Bovino. Well, that squat little toad grew up to be a squat little Nazi toad who has decided to come to my beautiful adopted home to torture, murder, and terrorize my friends and neighbors. He is personally going door to door, so if you see him, here’s a few very specific things from home you can politely yell at him:
“Hey Greg! Remember how your Dad murdered a woman in Blowing Rock while driving drunk? Like father like son I guess.”
They really don't care. It's only about the color of your skin. If you are perceived as other you are a threat to them. The country is run by white supremecists.
It's by design. If you want to hire bottom of the barrel, you can't have any standards or loops to jump through, or you might lose applicants. As a bonus, people who recognize this won't even apply. As another bonus, articles keep spawning that make ICE out to be a badly run organisation of idiots, when in reality it's actually exactly what it's meant to be and run by ruthless fascists.
It might not be the best idea to expect this to 1:1 emulate history - ICE is being set up to be both the SA and SS, but neither exactly resemble the former groups. It's a useful metaphor, but overfitting is possibly a trap for us to fall into.
This is pedo Antoinette’s SA. The SA in Germany terrorized the Jews and opposition into submission by the time the Gestapo took over. The SA was considered undisciplined and the SA leader was killed in the night of the long knives. Members of the SA that didn’t make the cut were sent to fight Hitlers imperialist wars or man the concentration camps.

There are a LOT of cracks in the MAGA walls, even other MAGAs are starting to question what's going on, and they are almost certainly going to be brought down by their own virtuosic incompetence. The problem is the damage they'll do along the way, so we have to shorten their decline as much as possible. We can't afford a long drawn out fight.
It starts with the Midterm. election, which Trump has to stop. The Democrats are almost certainly going to win in a bloodbath of possibly historic proportions, and take the House Majority, possibly the Senate, and take control of investigative committees with subpoena and arrest powers. That would kick off a two year period of impeachments of all the Trump all stars - Noem, Hegseth, Homan, etc., maybe even Clarence Thomas. They wouldn't get convicted in the Senate, but they'd be forced to explain themselves in front of the American people. They'd also kill his legislative agenda, and substitute their own.
Trump can't have that happening, so he's going to do anything he can to rationalize suspending elections, and that is a BRIGHT RED LINE that can't be allowed under any circumstances.
There's a very real and very disturbing possibility that the Democrats will choose not to prosecute the criminals, or at least not fully root out the problem, in the name of "national unity" or whatever
How do you come to this conclusion? What I see is the administration consistently failing to execute on their domestic agenda and backing down. Their National Guard deployments were shut down by the courts. ICE is nowhere close to meeting their stated goals, and becoming less popular by the hour. They can't even fill the positions they have, nevermind growing it larger with the new budget. Even Jimmy Kimmel is still on the air.
The sign on bonus is a retention bonus for staying 5 years. You, myself, the entire world know he is not good for paying bills.
Every single member eligible hire will be let go at 4 Years 354 days, or just not paid at all. See the $2,000 Check they were going to send to every American.

Or in my wife's case when she took a CNA role in 2021 she got $1k in the first paycheck, $1k after 3 months and the last $1k after 6 months for her $3k sign on bonus
I think the case with ICE is 5 years. Which isn't a crazy time period for large incentives to kick in normally, but the odds of these ICE agents still being employed in 5 years isn't great if MAGA goes down, and if it doesn't then 50k won't buy a decent pair of shoes in 5 years.
If just one ICE agent in 50 were a low-key saboteur just quietly, "accidentally" fucking up every single thing that comes their way, it would be disastrous for ICE

Going with follows you for the rest of your life, it could easily be that a later regime decides to hold you accountable for having been part of ICE. (Funny thing though, in Germany, the Nazis who got sentenced earlier tended to get more lenient sentences, assuming they weren't at the top. For example, Hans Bodo Gorgaß, vergasungsartzt in Hadamar, who was after the war convicted of 1000 counts of murder, got out after 11 years and got to live a mostly normal life afterwards. Today teens who worked as Death Camp guards get life sentences. Though, those "teens" are by now in their nineties, so life sentence is not that long)
