That was some of the worst sound I've ever heard in a musical number, basically anywhere. You can like the story, you can like the visuals, but objectively he sounded like shit.
I remember Kendrick Lamarās sound was pretty bad. But that was the audio coming through the tv. When they released the video on YouTube, it sounded much better.
I honestly didnāt think this had bad sound, though.
Clearly we're in the minority, but I did not think it sounded good at all. It's a hard event (even acoustically), and he clearly was singing live, but it felt like he was struggling to keep up with the beat. Although I'm also very hit or miss with rap, so I'm also probably biased.
The message and showmanship was good and regardless of how it sounded, I think people will talk about this performance for a long time.

But I also recognize that not everything in America has to be approved by me. There were two targets for this show - Hispanics/Latinx, and MAGAs. I'm neither, so I'm just an observer, and I highly approve of any event where MAGA gets poked in the eye.
Arena shows used to be all about lights, lasers, and volume. Now it's all about props and dancers. It's like Broadway on the road. They're trying to give people enough entertainment value to slightly rationalize the obscene cost of concert tickets these days.
Of course, lights and lasers used to work better when the atmosphere was filled with weed smoke. Now everybody does gummies before the show. I assume.

Honestly though, theres nothing more holy than sponsors in sports, so they probably asked them for permission prior to this message beeing displayed. The fact that they were okay with a message that pisses off a good portion of their customers speaks for them.

What? It had nothing to do with sports. Like yeah, its a Superbowl thing but the halftime show has long past been more of a cultural thing than a sports thing. People that perform at it likely don't give a shit about the sport either way, and neither do many of the people that watch specifically (or only) the Super bowl.

I don't normally watch football, but it was a pretty good game. Seattle Seahawks against the New England Patriots. The Patriots make it to the superbowl often and have had a reputation for playing dirty at times. The Seahawks barely lost to them a few years ago, so this was a very nice comeback, also it's only their second time winning the superbowl. They put up a fantastic defense and for a while people thought the Patriots wouldnt get to score any points at all.
For many of us, that's true. And that's something present even at the college and high school football levels. Last night, I tuned in just for the halftime show and turned the game off after. Similarly, people at my college were known for leaving football games after watching the band's performance at halftime. While football is a huge deal to many, there's also a significant amount of people that only show up for the musicians.
Its both a huge event and platform so it makes sense why artists would want to perform at the superbowl.
As for why he was picked, I think I've read some reports that the NFL is really trying to grow the sport in South America. Between the fact that they've saturated the US market and that every attempt to expand in Europe has been rough, I think they realize they don't have many other choices.

There's a cricket ground near me called the Hampshire Rosebowl. At least, that's what it was called when it was built.
Since then it's been sponsored by a series of insurance or finance firms, so has officially been known as The <FIRM_NAME> Bowl.
But not to me. Nope. It'll always be the Rosebowl.

Honestly though, theres nothing more holy than sponsors in sports, so they probably asked them for permission prior to this message beeing displayed. The fact that they were okay with a message that pisses off a good portion of their customers speaks for them.

I didn't watch the superbowl but I heard it was good. Not because I'm right-wing or anything like that. Also the Seahawks won so yay for them. I didn't watch it because I'm not a big sports fan and I didn't have a way to watch.

Is it trying to get people from the Caribbean to play any version of football? Because I think they prefer bat and ball sports[1], and to be honest, I'm surprised Bad Bunny actually cares. I guess he's in it for the prestige and fame? Did he already do something for the world series?
[1] : For some reason, Hispanic Caribbean countries like Baseball, while Anglophone Caribbean countries love cricket. I don't know or understand why they prefer bat and ball sports this consistently. Like you'd think it would be a mixture, and some football or they'd all like baseball or cricket, but it's divided among linguistic lines.

What? It had nothing to do with sports. Like yeah, its a Superbowl thing but the halftime show has long past been more of a cultural thing than a sports thing. People that perform at it likely don't give a shit about the sport either way, and neither do many of the people that watch specifically (or only) the Super bowl.
The message was clear and it was aimed at every single person watching American or not, sports fan or not.

I don't normally watch football, but it was a pretty good game. Seattle Seahawks against the New England Patriots. The Patriots make it to the superbowl often and have had a reputation for playing dirty at times. The Seahawks barely lost to them a few years ago, so this was a very nice comeback, also it's only their second time winning the superbowl. They put up a fantastic defense and for a while people thought the Patriots wouldnt get to score any points at all.

For many of us, that's true. And that's something present even at the college and high school football levels. Last night, I tuned in just for the halftime show and turned the game off after. Similarly, people at my college were known for leaving football games after watching the band's performance at halftime. While football is a huge deal to many, there's also a significant amount of people that only show up for the musicians.

Its both a huge event and platform so it makes sense why artists would want to perform at the superbowl.
As for why he was picked, I think I've read some reports that the NFL is really trying to grow the sport in South America. Between the fact that they've saturated the US market and that every attempt to expand in Europe has been rough, I think they realize they don't have many other choices.
