I'd say only the idiotic ones who believe in a pre-Tribulation Rapture would want that. It really makes me wonder how many "Christians" have actually read the Bible they claim to believe (and how many would be those told "Depart from me, for I never knew you" Matt. 7:23).
In my experience, Christianity is pretty divided over "End Times" worldviews - amillennial (no literal millennium, which usually says that there is no literal Tribulation either and so Antichrist isn't as much of a threat) vs. premillennial (we're living prior to a literal millennial reign of Christ on Earth, and there is a specific individual who will be the Antichrist and hold power during the 7-year Tribulation). Within the latter it gets even messier - rapture or no rapture? Ezekiel's War prior to the Tribulation or during it?
Whilst one can argue for the Rapture from the Bible, it's definitely not as clear-cut as the Antichrist or Tribulation period - so if it were me, I would not be in an hurry to usher in the reign of the Antichrist especially when he will hunt down and execute Christians during the Tribulation.
Nah. The Antichrist is expected to broker a peace treaty with Israel and its enemies if you look at Daniel 9:27.
That ain't our Mango Mussolini. He's a petulant toddler who throws a tantrum when he doesn't get his way. Trump couldn't negotiate a wooden tent spike from his own asshole.
It's not the end of the world. It's Israeli genocide (what a difference 84 years makes, huh?) and Iran trolling an orange dipshit for funsies. That's it.
Oh, I know that the Antichrist (the definitive article) signs an agreement with Israel (that's what starts off the 7-year Tribulation, if I recall correctly). Trump hasn't done that, nor does he meet a couple of other specific requirements, so I don't consider him to be the Antichrist (note the uppercase).
That said, he's definitely consistent with many of the attributes and I think meets the definition of an antichrist (lowercase) - hence why I said he's that type of person.
The folks who wrote that book of the Bible probably has Nero in mind when they wrote it. But there have been narcissistic assholes since the beginning of time, and it's no accident that many of the descriptions of Nero from 2000 years ago also fit Trump.
This is great - and it sends an important message, even if it should be obvious at this point. Have you considered making a separate post out of this so that more may see it? Thank you.
I'd give anything to be in that room just so I could jiggle the body somehow and then watch them all pray for real: "Oh god, please let him stay dead, oh real Jesus please don't wake him up now, we were only joking! Holy fuck, he could testify! Take him back! Take him back!"
Isn’t this an antichrist thing? I’m not a Christian but isn’t that a part of their whole thing? Seems like they should get that before me, an atheist, gets it
Unfortunately a lot of other people who do not deserve any of this are and will continue to be affected negatively by this relatively small group (on a global scale) being monumentally stupid.
Honestly, I'd be somewhat relieved if there were a supernatural explanation for how they were tricked into supporting Trump. Because Christ made a very clear list on how people would be judged in Matthew 25 31-46 ("The Judgement of the Nations")
Treatment of the poor
Treatment of the sick
3.Treatment of the foreigner
Treatment of the imprisoned
This nation isn't doing great by that measurement.
See, they think that it will trigger the reckoning, not understanding it's all just made up fecklessness. They want the rapture to come, so I say we give them all their wish and move on with our lives without them.
Oh, I’m still telling Carney to go fuck himself right to hell. He’s softer on trump than 10-ply toilet paper and most of the things he says correctly come a few days after his gut reaction to be a shit-heel. He’s slightly better about the US and Israel’s attacks but when they first started he promised to “unconditionally support” the US. Anything he says can’t really be agreed with because none of it is coming from a true moral highground. It’s hard agree with his words they carry no weight and are mostly lies.
Oh I agree with you and I really don't like him either. It's just that side by side with Trump he looks likes a fucking genius, but let's be real, 15 years ago this guy would have been a conservative's wet dream.
What I’m driving at is that he might wear suits that fit but it’s important to still see that he still supports 90% of the things Trump does. Things like his Davos speech or what he eventually says in response to things like the US’s attacks are not worth defending because their purpose is entirely to make people feel as if there’s just enough stability to go back to ignoring politics again.
Carney is still a conservative’s wet dream, it’s just that people are so attached to their tribalism that voters aren’t paying attention. The MPs are, though, since we’re seeing so many cross over to be Liberals.
By then we will have freed ourselves with as many dependencies and ties to the US as possible, and you’ll have to get used to a whole different dynamics in the relationship. The ass kissing you’ve grown accustomed to since WW2 is over.
Honestly as an American that sounds good for everyone. America has long used its position to strengthen intellectual property at the expense of personal property, and to impose monetary policy that enriches the 1%.
Things have been bad for a long time and need to change.
There's never going back. Nothing will ever be the same again, just like nothing was ever the same again after WTC attack and Iraq&Afghanistan invasion. EU will keep trying to be less dependant, the course is set, even if USA manages to elect a less insane president in a few years and manage to throw this abomination in jail or on an electric chair, it will not mean a return to what was before...

Trump is an antichrist (not the definitive article, but the type of person described in the Bible). It really can't get any clearer at this point.
